LA Tech's Friday night pitcher also only pitched 5 innings last weekend. That's almost a weeks worth of rest.
And going forward?

Project, its time for you to acknowledge that la tech’s ace is gonna throw 9 innings tonight

They play Tulane who is ranked in the 80's in RPI. Throw the ace and win the damn game against the number two team in the country tonight!

I really would have thought this narrative would have died by now.

Negative amigo. I see no reason as to why LA Tech wouldn't throw their ace tonight. All of your reasons have been dumb and make no sense

Top 15 mashup. Ought a be good

It’s going to be Gibson. He’s their #4 starter.

Fincher faced 23 batters on Friday night. Most teams don't push their ace's pitch count within the first 2 weeks of the season. That's one really good reason why they wouldn't throw him tonight.

They are throwing Cade Gibson. They beat Ole Miss 13-1 with him pitching. They have Tulane coming in this weekend. They want to win but they are not going to throw their ace just for 1 game bragging rights especially when they have shown they can win with their #4 guy.

LA Tech has had a good team for a little while now. Don't let your hubris get to you.

If you consider one year a little while. Sure

How does this make me sound dumb? They literally have the number 2 team in the country going to fricking RUSTON. LSU will probably also be the only ranked team they play this year unless ULL or some other no name team makes a run. But yea, I'm dumb
Yeah... you're dumb.

What an bad take. Do some research before just saying dumb shite. Tech has consistently been one of the best G5 teams in baseball since Burroughs has gotten there.

you have the 2nd ranked team coming to your brand new facility
Didn't they open the facility last year with #1 Arkansas in a 3 game series, followed by #3 Ole Miss who claimed Covid and left early after getting embarrassed 13-1? I'm sure it's a big game for the local LSU fans to get to cheer on the Tigers just like the basketball game in Shreveport. Acting like this is the same as going to Hammond or ULM during the Smoke era is being quite disengenous. This is a top 15 team that has experience hosting a regional and hosting top3 teams that plays in a top 5-6 RPI conference that had multiple regional hosts last year. I think LSU gets the W handily assuming the bats stay hot, but to act like LTU would need to throw their best arm against a Johnny whole staff for that to happen makes it look like you have zero clue about the landscape of College Baseball.

No he just pitched Friday and he's pitching again this Friday. This game really isn't that important to them of course they want to win, but they aren't wasting their ace on this game.

This is probably the biggest game for LA Tech this year. When these small Louisiana schools play LSU they often times give it their best shot and throw their ace. Wonder if LA Tech will do the same tonight?
They just swept a 3 game series against Wichy State this past weekend and they have a 3 game series against 3&0 Tulane this coming weekend. You seriously think they triple throw their ace the first week of the season with this in mind?
