No, Meyer ran a totally undisciplined program at Florida.

CUM was the luckiest coach alive. He ends up at UF & his QB just happens to be one of the best of all time Tim Tebow. He goes to a strong Ohio State team that is loaded. The previous coach fired for bogus tattoo scandal.

IMO he's also a total POS. Just ask some of the people who played under him.

Somewhat hypocritical when BK quit on his team that was in playoff contention to come to LSU

Urban was the guy I wanted, and would have pursued if I was Scott Woodward. But I was thrilled when we got Kelly.

Urban is likely a better coach but such a fleabag and can’t trust him at all.

Kelly has work to do but still has a shot. He rubs people the wrong way but will likely leave lsu better off than where he started.

This is precisely what BK is doing! He has no incentive at all!

No. Meyer is a good coach but everywhere he goes there is controversy. Once he starts losing he will start saying his health is not good and then he will jump ship.

This board loves to pretend it has standards and morals during abstract or theoretical conversations but when the chips are down all it cares about is winning no matter the means so of course 95-99% of this board would choose Meyer regardless of what they tell you.

Even though you know he'll bail by year 5 with heart issues or some other ailment. Might get you 2 NC'S though.

If you’re talking hypothetically we just switch BK with Urban and nothing else changes?? Then yes I would obviously take a chance on a 60year old with 3 national championships over a 62 year old that has zero significant post season wins. That’s not really up for debate.

But realistically you have to deal with the 2-3 year transition period and wouldn’t be worth having Urban for only 5 years. You might as well stick it out with what BK’s built so far.

not this guy, Meyer is a scumbag, I'd go back to Hallman-DiNardo days first(and we've skirted awful close to being there already )

When Orgeron was doing scummy things and winning anyone who brought it up was attacked, Same with Les Miles. This board would defend Charlie Manson if he could produce 11-12 win seasons every year.

I agree with you about that being the mindset of the majority on here, most coaches are pretty sleazy and willing to cut their mothers throat for advancement, and btw, every LSU coach we've had going back to but not including Cholly Mac, have either been caught or have been been damn close to have being caught "fraternizing" with LSU coeds

No way… he was a decent coach. But Tebow made his career. He was pretty good in the big ten, but it’s the big ten.
