The most coveted dimension in football after throwing the ball well.

I know the question may be more specific to at what cost but I'd rather see him in a Saints uniform as opposed to a Falcons, Panthers, Bucs uniforms.

Absolutely! Especially considering that the Saints will likely be picking in the bottom 1/3rd if not bottom 1/4th of the draft.
Pass rushers are second only to QB's (and maybe left tackles) in terms of importance in the NFL. They don't grow on trees and it's why NFL teams will reach significantly to get one. Key has the ability to be an elite edge rusher. If I were the GM I would LOVE to stick him on the other side of one of the best two-way DE's in football (Cam Jordan). I'm not worried about the off the field stuff. When the lights were bright he showed up and was a terror to block. He was special pass rusher from day one (vs. Miss. St)
We heard all this crap about Clowney during and following his Junior year. All he did was go #1 overall. Key will be fine and if he's available somewhere between picks 25-32 you RUN to the podium to get him.

Saints would love to get a top ten talent at pick 32.
I'm pretty sure pick 32 is saved for the superbowl winner champ. But keep dreaming big.

Back to back disappointments of Fournette and Key are weighing on me. I think falling to the Saints at the mid twenties is where he should be in a normal draft.

Only if he stays healthy and in good shape.

I don't think he fits the Saints D very well. He'll be a standup 3-4 OLB
You do know the Saints run a 3-4, right?

Oxymoron. Local player & Saints.
Against their business plan to draft local players.
They will defend this policy by claiming a great '17 draft & ignoring the recent past when they have no one left for more that one year.
But, hey, they did win the Super Bowl way back when!

What you are doing there...I see it. And I like it.

Never. Why would I want him to waste his talent on that crappy team?

frick no ever! He is a lazy player

If you ask me that last year when he was on roids and playing like a beast I would have said yes. Took awhile for his body to adjust to not being on roids but still looks like an NFL Talent. I'm not sure what the NFL's policy is or what Arden Keys future plans are regarding roids so it's hard to say where to spend a pick on him. I would probably take him in the 4th though he won't be there

GOD no ! The aints need to continue to leave Lsu guys alone
You’re right... because it would be absolutely terrible if the Saints had players like, Debo, Kwon, Beckwith, D Hunter, or T White on their D; all who were available to them. (Not to mention guys like Fournette, Adams, L Collins, Mathieu, PP7, Juice, OBJ, LaFell, Whitworth, T Turner, Brockers, Logan, etc., etc., etc.)

I'd like to see him in an LSU uniform but...

If he is available for 2nd round money. He has problems and we don't need that.
Posted on 12/19/17 at 8:17 pm to lsu2006
Hell no. He's a bust waiting to happen.
Star players typically don't have all kinds of off season drama and get super fat so that they basically suck half the season.
Not worth the risk.
