Improvement in baseball is not always strictly linear. It’s called the human element.
Go watch Robot Wars if that’s what you want.

Jared Jones was crucified here early on.

Ware is not in the group until he can throw strikes. Last night, 7 strikes & 12 balls. He’s not reliable. Benge & Rizy are ahead of him.

Anderson
Eyanson
Shores
Cowan
Evans
Noot

Guidry

Benge
Rizy
Ware
Schmidt

Need the bottom 4 to get better and they should be by June.

Get used to it. This is Johnson's MO. He prefers to win with offense.

Yeah that’s why he went after Skenes.

There was zero pitching depth left at LSU when he took over. He has have 11 of his transfers get drafted, and several will pitch in the MLB this year.

Not only "not linear", but downright erratic. That 23' team was considered a great team, yet they finished 3rd in the SEC and lost 24-4 to UF before winning it all the next game 18-4. The middle relief and closers struggled all season before turning it up late.

Yeah, it's a long season. Last year we almost hosted a super and also almost missed the postseason. We'll know a lot more about the team in a month.

Exactly. We know how it goes. Jay tinkers a lot, so we start off hot with, have a cool stretch in the middle and come on strong at the end.

Also, only having a 1 year window was stated and you’re listing guys here for 2 more years.

Curiel is a draft eligible SO, Brown and Milam are both SO. What do you mean? I said if Curiel continues the path he is on and considering where he was slotted in this past draft, my money would be on him leaving.

You realize Jay is a pretty great recruiter you think he’s not going to bring other guys in?

He said this was a young team.

actually a rather old team. Freshman class only has 10; the rest are sophomores and juniors. Model of college baseball today will be that it will continue to be older because of xfers and more athletes playing their senior seasons.

Biggest challenge for P5 coaches now is going to be able to hold on to promising freshman and develop them as the core of the program.

No it’s not. It’s very well balanced.

The current freshman class has multiple potential mega stars.

The sophomore class has some great players that are not draft eligible whose best baseball is ahead of them.

You’re dumb lol

So Curiel, Brown and Milam are not draft eligible? You don’t think those 3 could be gone next and with Jared Jones gone after this season? Dickerson is another. Shores could be as well if he progresses well. That’s off the top of my head.
