buying this now is identical to buying a long dated call option. I agree with that given the current circumstances of the company

This stock was 13 cents a year ago. It's gone up 1700%.

EPA approval is expected, soon. If that happens, you could see a big jump. Ditto, ehen it gets listed on the NASDAQ exchange and institutional buyers jump in. Needless to say, it will jump if the government signs a billion dollar contract. Or Tesla. Some people don't think it's a coincidence that they relocated their headquarters to Austin, where Tesla is located.

It all hinges on the EPA, right now

I hope all that stuff happens but that’s the point…it’s hope. You aren’t buying future revenue guidance, or future profits or future anything right now regardless of the stock prices recent performance. You’re buying an idea. There’s no book.

Doesn’t make it a bad play but it is a play. I’m going to get in there with you guys tomorrow

Are you saying Tesla is going to buy from them or try and buy them out?

So is this thing worth taking a flyer on? Nothing too crazy just put a little in it and let it ride?

and one more thing.

If you took a flyer on this at 2.17 tomorrow morning, you'll have jumped in at only 67 cents over my average cost per share.

Obviously there are some guys here that got in at sub .70....and Im jealous. BUt youre still in at 2.17 whether it his 5.17 or 555.17.

FWIW, Per Kevin Bambrough on X, who stated everything quoted below. See the link below from which everything quoted below is derived.

2h[s] [ago]
"$hg $hgraf will see its graphene variants all through military applications. I expect the USA GEIC this year and formalized partnership with all aspects of the military (not just army) and DoE on top of it. Stock is gonna go bonkers soon. I’m excited"

"I’ll say it again…. I’m not saying it’s going up. Or making new highs. Those would be gross understatements to what is brewing. Bonkers! Is my prediction"

"Bonkers (adj./adv.)
A technical state of market euphoria where a stock’s price action departs from the laws of physics, fundamental valuation, and occasionally, human reason.

A stock is officially classified as "Bonkers" when its upward trajectory stops looking like a "staircase to heaven" and starts looking like a vertical line drawn by a toddler during a caffeine spike.

To qualify as Bonkers, a ticker must achieve a "Three-Digit-Sprint"—gaining 100% or more in a timeframe usually reserved for a single lunch break.

Key Indicators of Bonkers Performance:
•The Neck Snap: When a trader checks the chart at 10:00 AM, sneezes, and returns at 10:01 AM to find the stock has bypassed the moon and is currently approaching Andromeda.
•The Valuation Vacuum: A phenomenon where the higher the stock goes, the less the company's actual revenue matters.

In a Bonkers state, a company that sells used shoelaces can be valued higher than a mid-sized European nation.
•The RSI Meltdown: When the Relative Strength Index (RSI) hits 99 and the indicator needle physically breaks off the screen.

Usage in a sentence: "I was going to set a trailing stop, but the stock went absolutely bonkers and now I own a private island."

Bonkers would indicate that the US government would have committed billions to HGRAF over multiple years, IMO...

The hard part isn’t throwing some money at a spec play with a good story for a few thousand shares or watching it tank if nothing happens.

The hard part will be figuring out what to do if this actually happens, it jumps 10x and is listed on NASDAQ.

I’m here for it.

This thread makes me feel like I don’t have enough shares.

That's the dreamland dilemma I've been playing in my head. What if it goes 10X from here very quickly, do I hold all shares and wait, or bow out and praise God.

I'll likely peel off enough shares to cover my initial investment, then let the rest do its thing. I just don't know for sure honestly.... hope we are all faced with said dilemma in 2026.

True. But there is a lot of noise that graphene is important for our national security and the government may step in. If they do, this could spike quicker than it would for an ordinary startup company.

Read Kevin Bambrough's post on X. He doesn't work for HGRAF in an official capacity, but he is an investor, and has used his connections to assist Hydrograph in getting in front of the right people in both the public and private sector. He's not the only one, but he keeps saying that this thing could go off. He is an outsider, but obviously has some inside information. If the federal government decides to step in with grant money, that could be the catalyst. Trump just asked Congress to bump the military budget by 50% to build the "dream military". I saw where they are going to a new class of battleship. That would be a huge contract, right now, if they use graphene in various components of the ship.

Sure, it's speculative, but I'm not sure it's going to play out slowly for you to accumulate slowly over 3-4 years, like the writer says.

That would be the opposite problem of what Dock is talking about. What happens if it goes bonkers? Do you buy more shares at that point and hope it keeps going up?

This is me. If it goes up 10x, I could retire (I'm 3 years away, now) and live comfortably. However, I will probably recoup my initial investment and let it ride.

The question is, do I tell my wife or not? She doesn't look at it, and she will want to take profit and sell. She is extremely risk adverse, and wants to sell to take profits when things are going good, and wants to sell to avoid more losses when things are going bad. I have learned to keep her informed without any details. If this goes bonkers, I'll just tell her that we had a good week and are on target to retire. When things go bad, I'll tell her the market was bad this week, but we'll make it up by being patient..

BTW - I don't need this for retirement. I can retire in 3 years and live comfortably if this goes to zero. This is just a spec play to see I can buy a yacht and a Lambo...

You must have a lot of shares. My 1,500 won’t change my life even if it goes to $100 per share. Maybe I’d buy a toy that I normally wouldn’t have, but I doubt it. I’d probably sell at some point and put it in an index fund with all the rest of my money.

F it, just bought another 500 shares.

I, too, was thinking we'd have another year to accumulate (I throw a little money at it every week), but with the rumor about the EPA decision being imminent, I'm not so sure.

I'm in for 17.5k shares now - I was hoping to hit 20k before any big news. I don't know what I'd do if this hit 5 or 10x it's current value. If it hits 10x, I'm going to be thinking it can hit 100x. But like y'all, it would be a nice dilemma to have.

I've thought this same thing

My wife has no idea about any of this, so it would be a fun surprise if this really took off.

ETA: I keep no secrets from my wife (just in case she ever sees this, ha). She just doesn't care. She doesn't know whether we have $10 to our name or $10 million. As long as the credit card works...

Mine, either. She's probably thinking we could redecorate the kitchen if all goes well...

Either she'll have a new, upgraded house, or she'll have to make do with a new fridge - depending on which way this goes...

Trying to decide if I should dump the rest of my First Graphene (FGPHF) or SMCI and add another 500 or so shares of HGRAF. Both are small positions of around $1k each.
