How much money is being wagered on a Coppin State game? Now compare that with how much is bet on a University of Kentucky game. All it takes are a few players or a coach in on the take with a slanted line to get the public heavy on the wrong side to make millions in a single night

DePaul is in the Big East. Fordham, Saint Louis, La Salle, and Tulane are somewhat respectable basketball schools with some decent history..

With a UK game the players are getting NIL. In order for the bribe to be worth it, the payoff has to be huge. Which means the bet has to be even bigger and the book will notice.
If you want to get away with it, you fix a Coppin State game and don't get greedy. Bet relatively small amounts and pay small amounts to a player.

I'm not talking about a bettor bribing them, I'm talking about someone affiliated with the books doing it. Who gives a shite about the juice if you can get $100 million wagered on a game with 80% on one side and that side loses

The most famous thing Tulane has ever done in basketball is a point shaving scandal.

I wouldn't touch the big schools if I was one of the ringleaders. There are fewer eyes on smaller programs.

It appears they miscalculated this part.
Maybe they wouldn't have been caught if they didnt make blatant huge wagers, if there's any accuracy in that other post claiming they were dropping 100 grand on these small school games

Half the SLC is shaving points and SLU still can't win the conference.

Were the players going to Casinos themselves, placing the bets? Or did they have less suspicious figures than 6'7 tall, athletic Black guys in their 20s walking in, putting down $100,000 on college games :lol
And the idiots directing and texting the players said they would be at the game... why
