Stop with this garbage. No they are not

Way better.

FSU wins with defense. They would be playing with their second team QB who is better than anything Auburn has.

Thank you. I must be the only one who thinks fsu with a month to prepare fsu would have been a tough out. But alas they will have to buy a ticket to get into the CFP Invitational

Florida state is going to get beat down by Georgia...

They may not even finish in the top 10 after that happens

FSU is gonna blow out the defending national champ with a third string QB

you know the 3rd stringer isn't playing in the bowl (barring another injury between now and then)

FSU had 55 passing yards and 219 overall. They aint beating UGA

With a D this year would have absolutely been a natty for LSU. Sucks.

FSU with a back up QB isn't as good as bama, but they are better than ga that lost to bama by 3 pts. Selection committee is a joke.

You're complaining that the committee ranked FSU too high? I concur. In fact, I believe that LSU would beat FSU handily at this point.

THAT quarterback isn't playing in the playoffs.

The AP currently has FSU ahead of Bama. If the beat UGA, they will be 14-0 and the only undefeated P5 team in the nation. If bama wins the playoffs, I would be shocked if the AP didn’t vote fsu 1. They love that shite

But! USC was named the AP #1 after beating Michigan in a bowl game. Michigan was ranked #4 at the time, I think, so an impressive FSU victory over UGA might start the conversation. The victory would have to be pretty convincing though.
Even with a pretty convincing win, FSU will only have one bowl win vs the AP #6 while whoever wins the playoff will have 2 wins against AP top 5 teams to end the season. Gonna be hard to see the AP voters moving FSU up above a team that just beat 2 top 5 teams in the playoff.

THE National Champion and there’s no such thing as a “split” Championship.

You might want to tell that to the NCAA, they recognize multiple split championships including 2003.

What a stupid comparison
There is the Maxwell award are you saying it’s invalid?

In the 2003 season, AP voters were butt-hurt because the BCS ranking system diminished the power they had for decades.

No they weren't. The BCS formula at that time was still pretty terrible and everyone knew it. Oklahoma had just gotten thumped by Kansas State in the Big 12 title game and the computer model still put them in over SC, who's only loss was in 3OT at Cal against Aaron Rodgers early in the year.

SC was the best team that year and most everyone outside of Louisiana agrees. The LSU fanbase revisionism on this is unreal. Nobody counted that LSU title back in the day. We all knew SC was the best team.

If FSU beats Georgia and finds any remote or obscure computer model or metric that says they finish the season #1, they should and probably will claim the season as National Champs, just like Alabama has done for 80 yrs.

They won’t have to. FSU is already ranked ahead of Bama in the AP

Obvious troll is obvious. But this is the revisionism. Everyone recognizes the split title, it’s in the official NCAA record books, whenever people outside Louisiana talk about LSU National Titles 2003 in included, as it is when they discuss Nick Saban. Both titles are valid but if there is only one for 2003 its LSU.
