This dude….

Whether he didn’t give a shite or was mentally ill doesn’t matter, the dude could have been one of the best DEs to ever play in the NFL

Trent's problem is he couldn't see.

Eddy Lacy discovered food.

Maurice Clarette is a good one.

Most of the people you would put on this list are functionally mentally challenged and/or had addiction issues.

Who's the boxer that beat Mike Tyson in Japan, then promptly got fat and useless?

Benoit Benjamin for all NBA lazy. God blessed him with a great body and more than enough athleticism.
Unfortunately had the work ethic of a crossing guard. Even still he had a rather lengthy pro career as GM’s and coaches kept telling themselves they could fix him. If you had combined his body and Don Redden’s drive Benjamin would have been a hall of famer.

Xavier Lee at FSU. Guy was physically perfect, 5 star, 6'4 225, could run, was elusive in the pocket, and may literally have had the strongest arm I've ever seen. He was also very intelligent so we couldn't just say it was because he had a 7 wonderlic score. He just never cared and didn't try. Even in interviews his responses would be to just shrug and say "I don't know". There was one game in 2007 I think when he put it all together against Maryland, and he looked like a #1 overall pick for that one game. I don't even know what became of him without looking it up

I think he cared about football as much as most guys, he just wasn't passionate about it.

I beat John Hot plate Williams in ping pong 3 games in a row in college…
He said, “Ok, you got me…now let’s go one on one on the court”
I passed.
