There is baseball player, modern era/played in 70s, that hit a homerun in his first MLB at bat. He was elected to Cooperstown(HOF), but he only hit one homerun in his career.

Yeah, it's a pitcher. Forgot who the guy is but I know it's a pitcher.

I'm guessing it was a pitcher?

In 1963, baseball pitcher Gaylord Perry remarked, "They'll put a man on the moon before I hit a home run." On July 20, 1969, a few hours after Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon, Gaylord Perry hit his first home run.

The first puck used in a game of ice hockey was frozen cow shite

The only two days of the year in which there are no professional sports games (MLB, NBA, NHL, or NFL) are the day before and the day after the Baseball All-Star Game.

Cliff Lee has driven in more runs in the month of June this year than he has given up.

Heard this little gem last night in the BoSox/Phillies game.

The last base hit Nolan Ryan gave up in his career was a grand slam homerun.

Will Clark hit a homer off of Ryan in his first MLB at bat on his first swing (I was there).

Missouri's 1976 football team had road wins against Southern California, Ohio State and Nebraska.........but the Tigers finished 6-5.

Fernando Tatis is the only player in MLB history to hit 2 grand slams in the same inning. (With the Cardinals at the time)
And still doesn't have the record for most RBI in a game

I don't think this is accurate

The MLB regular season ends before the NBA season begins, the MLB playoffs have days off, and the NFL doesn't play every day. So there are bound to be days in early early October with nothing going on as the NHL doesn't Start until the 6th

I think it's funny you remember something about fantasy baseball from 12 years ago

Herschel Walker is the only player in NFL history with a 90+ yard return, reception, and rush for a TD in the same season.
