Anyone complaining about either the Superdome or the SKC as sports venues is not a real sports fan. They are perfectly located venues and work perfectly to deliver the sporting event.

I will never understand this obsession to want to spend shitloads of money on stupid new stadiums that add nothing to the actual event. The two New Orleans venues are perfectly located unlike almost every other sporting venue and they are clean. The other stuff people bring up is just going to make it a more expensive and less enjoyable experience.

Yeah NOLA is a dump but the dome is a perfect venue to host big time events. Anyone who says otherwise is looking for e-cred for shitting on NOLA

This is an apples to oranges comparison. Both are great venues for completely different reasons.

Tiger Stadium is a dump, the suites they added are the only thing good. Yes the gameday atmosphere is great but the physical stadium is old and lacking

That is what makes it iconic! It over 100 years old and is always voted the best stadium in the country. Go sit in your fancy new corporate stadium!

I like that The Superdome while well renovated isn't as fancy as places like Jerry World. If I wanna go to a fancy mall I will but I go to these places to watch sporting events. I would love to go see The Rose Bowl but I'm sure I'd be underwhelmed.

Then why did the NBA say it was one of the worst arenas?

Because they don’t care about the actual sport. They want it to be a club and social event to generate money from the elite.

Have you watched the spectacle of these events? Do you want to watch the sport or it be a red carpet?

If you focus on the sport then it becomes affordable. If you focus on the red carpet/club aspect then it is a corporate function and for celebrities.

Super dome is a dump of a stadium in a dump of a town. The only good thing about Nola is food, but you are probably going to get robbed

And they even stole the cuisine, made it worse and called it unique lol

If the Dome & the city is so horrible, why has the NFL, the premier sports league in the country, assigned its biggest game of the year, the Super Bowl, to both for 11 times? Tied with Miami for the most hosting roles? The NFL has its pick of every city /stadium in the country & N.O. / Dome keeps getting the Super Bowl???

You can’t say this, yet in the same thread complain how far away the seats in the superdome are from the fired. Sightlines in the superdome are considerably better and closer to the field than both the rose bowl and Tiger stadium

Nothing in college football is more overrated than the Rose Bowl (except maybe Notre Dame)

I'm so tired of hearing all the hype about it.

Glad The Dome is getting the respect it deserves as the most iconic venue in North America.
