I think he’s a douche who needs to get over himself and get rid of his cute little chip on his shoulder.

His whole career before this run at Indiana has basically been a bunch of “yea but…” while he just shits down everyone’s throat. I think his chip is understandable.

Why do people think he's 35 and just starting his career?

Because he’s 65 but looks and carries himself like he’s 50.

Saban never won at a school like Indiana. I’m convinced Saban “retired” to run away from the Cig.

The way social media pumps up people to legendary status, and has people buying in, is mind-boggling.
My son texted and said Cignetti may be the GOAT. I told him to throttle back. He's only won the big 10 plus he's 65 and has a good 5 years left in him or so. He then says he could see him winning 6 National Championships, 4 or 5 Big Ten titles etc. LOL.

Cignetti’s doing what he’s doing now with what? 8 TOTAL 4/5 star players on his roster

A roster whose average age is close to 23 years of age and who have 4-5 years of FBS experience. Cig is playing moneyball with the transfer portal and you can't fault him for that.

He’s surpassed Kirby for best active college football HC for sure.

Either you adapt or you die, and apparently the top SEC squads are becoming soft presently with how they got bullied this playoff season, even Georgia’s soft now.

It’s only a “shite show” because it challenged his monopoly on college football and talent, why do you think he got out and constantly rants about NIL and portal? Because it broke up his monopoly at Alabama, it’s now been HALF A DECADE since they last won the natty and that was a bogus covid abbreviated season.

He's already in his mid 60s. Good coach but not even close to Saban.

You're right. Saban never could have turned around Indiana the way Cig has done. Saban was too fricking chicken shite to even attempt to deal w/NIL and immediately quit the moment he longer could outspend everyone under the table.

Honestly, when I watch his pressers, I don't think he looks or sounds a day over 60. 61, 62 tops.

I think coaches in the SEC still believe they have time to develop all of this blue chip talent they are recruiting. Fact of the matter is, the way the game is right now, there ain't no time for that. The days of sitting more than a year behind a starter are over.

However, I believe this period of college football we are in is transitory. The movers and shakers of the game, to include prominent politicians, are not presently happy with the state of collegiate athletics. I think you are going to see some guardrails built into the system within the next five years or so.

I’m interested as to why they aren’t happy. Could it be because the oligopolies which ran the sport a decade ago are getting broken up and programs which never had a chance before are contending for titles?
