I like my odds of catching a HR in the Crawford Boxes tomorrow night.

Hard to not like what we’ve seen from Walter and Gordon.

My uncle has been saying for years that the Astros just continuously teach guys how to pitch. It really is remarkable how they seem to maximize the potential of everyone they have. Except that fricking POS McCuck.

Yeah, Gordon is a guy you hope has trade value to help get you what you need in the coming days. I really like Walter.

Anybody bothering to find this thread has been around baseball long enough to know you can’t know it all and to expect the unexpected

On that note, it will be a challenge for this team to return all of its injured players and achieve a similar record that this present anomaly of misfits has

Uncanny is a word that comes to mind

The Astros have assembled a rag-tag outfit of rogues, misfits, and ne'er do wells.

How often do well? Ne'er. They ne'er did well.

But yet they continue to win.

(For those not familiar, some of the above was taken from a Gary Gulman bit about state abbreviations. If you enjoy intelligent comedy, this is 6 minutes of gold)

The Astros are about to play the 2nd worst team in the AL and the 2nd worst team in the NL in the next 7 days, all at home. I mean, whar could POSSIBLY go wrong?

Nervously awaiting the start of this 7-game homestand against the last-place teams of the AL West and NL East.

If only we got 3-4 back before the trade deadline. All those ragtag AAA players might get us another pitcher or lefty batter.

I'm still just smhd that we lead the AL as I think all the talking heads are as well. You can see why our player development system ranks #1 in the last 10 years.
