I always find it odd when I'll see a random Derrick Henry game where he'll be standing on the sidelines in the 4th qtr and he's had like 7 carries for 30 yds. The head coach just forgets he exists.
Then he'll rip off 140 yds a week later.
If I were his head coach, I'd say, "Here's the rock 25 times a game. The defense is trying to take food off your dinner table. Go eat."
The guy is a beast.

He's one of those backs that just gets better the more times he carries the ball.

Dominated high school, college, and pro ball.
Almost never inured, almost never fumbles, never seems to get tired.
Guy is indeed a genetic freak in a good way.

Never said that Emmitt was the GOAT.

Begs the question, what was pride looking at all those years?
I called this guy making the hall before pride even thought he was a decent RB.

Could you imagine him playing in the 70s to 90s? He would dominate that era.

5,464 yards to the all time record
Feels like as long as he avoids a career-ending injury, it’s his

Remember last week when they benched him with the lead in the 4th quarter? Somebody needs to be fired for that

You won't see Pride in this thread.

fournette would have the same success if he was just as tall, strong, fast, quick, had the same tank like measurables, and dedication to off-season training

Y'all member when everyone said he'd be a better LB?
I think the argument could be made that he would have been elite at LB or at DE. Henry is a freak athlete.

And Fournette still has more Super Bowl rings

College recruiters tried to make him into an edge rusher.
Given his accomplishments he should have no regrets but edge rushers is a more important position and makes considerably more money I’m sure he would have been a beast on defense

For perspective, Darren McFadden is a career 5,421 guy. Reggie Bush is at 5,490.

I have ZERO doubt, if you put him in emmits spot in the Cowboys, he ends up with more yds than emmit.
People forget it took him a couple years to get going in both college and the pros. Saban has talked about this, his freshman year they OC was on him because he was struggling, didn’t know the offense because in HS he didn’t have too. On top of being a physical freak dude puts in the work, his workouts and diet are intense.
