Does home field help or hurt Miami?

I think it may hurt because travelling, lodging and eating together as a team, etc...allows you to be more focused than simply driving from home to play a game on game day.
Will Indiana have more fans at the game?

doesn't matter where the game is played. IU is a superior team and will take care of business. 3 in a row for the B1G

They will stay in a hotel at least the night before the game, if not more.

According to Dunkel, home field is worth 3 points.

Miami does not have a home field advantage. They barely have a "home field"

Florida teams are notoriously fair weather. When Miami was winning the orange bowl was electric.
I’m sure they’ll have plenty of “fans”. Miami is just one of those schools. When they’re good people wanna come out the woodwork to say they’re a Miami fan. I’ll be shocked if there’s not a fair mount of celebrities pulling for Miami at the game.

Two sides to that coin. Getting to sleep in your own bed is a massive advantage over some uncomfortable, unfamiliar hotel bed. That being said, no team stays at home for home games. They all go to hotels so that the coaches can control as many variables as possible.
As far as actual homefield...Miami's fans are terrible and they really don't have any advantage. Indiana's first national championship game should yield at least a neutral field if not an advantage for them.

makes you wonder why they ended up demolishing their stadium, the old orange bowl. now that was a real home field advantage....in fact, the greatest home field advantage in history going by the stats. they won 58 straight home games there which is a record that still stands today

Because they didn't own it and it was a piece of junk by the end.

Doesn't matter. They're getting rolled

They’ll 100% have a team hotel still the few days before the game

A lot more
And the cheapest tickets right now are $3500 on the Miami side of the field

Maybe but how do they determine that home field is worth three points vs the team with home field usually being the better team anyway?
