SMS run to Sweet 16 in 99 was better than anything MU has done...just saying

Maybe the 2 Lady Bears 2 Final 4's

Maybe the 4 National Championship games SMS appeared in

So, but they did win a CWS in 54.

It was probably the De javu for Mizzou when Sundvold and Stipanovich was there. The 87-90 teams were constant top ranked

The 94 team was ranked 3 or 4 all year, even though they were beat by 56 in the first road game. They won the Big 8 unbeaten that year and lost to Arizona in a Regional Final.

They love them some Norm in Columbia. Even now. Even though he is probably the Jim Mora of college basketball.

No. It's definitely Nova/Georgetown. That game was surreal. Georgetown had Ewing and were going to roll to a repeat after they beat St. John's. Villanova was an afterthought and played a perfect game. If not for NCST/Houston 2 years earlier, it would be remembered as the greatest upset of all time.

I’m too young to remember that game. The buzzer beater vs UNC is one of the best sports moments of my lifetime IMO.

Norm's problem, being very old-school, was that for the longest time he didn't care about the tournament. His goal was to win the Conference.

Alaska: Probably that time in 1988 when Alaska-Anchorage beat Iona 71-70 in the 7th place game of the Great Alaska Shootout.

1992 - Hawaii wins a share of its first-ever WAC championship and posts its first bowl game victory, a 27–17 defeat of Illinois in the Thrifty Car Rental Holiday Bowl. Hawaii would finish the season ranked 20th in the nation and post a team-record 11 victories.

They played in the title game. Besides, Georgia was "the other team" in the 1983 Final Four, much like LSU was in 1986.

Then you don't understand how much of a juggernaut that Georgetown team was.

Missouri: Billikens over Memphis in 2012 ? 1948 over NYU (back when the NIT was the premier championship game) ? I dunno. We just plain suck in the 2 major college sports.
