well then why doesn’t he just shoot 1000 free throws a day until he gets good at at

they need a PG who can do more than just pass.

The thing about it is he' doesn't do that well enough either. He averages 7 assists a game. That's solid, but not elite status at all for a point guard.

The NBA tonight crew just broke it down beautifully . He’s a mental midget with bad form.

driving great.
rebounding good too.

then as now everyone in organized leagues at all levels shoot better from 10 to 20 feet.
fatties.shrimps.
every damn kid in the usa.
all better from mid range to infinity.

I went to one LSU home game while he was there. During warmups I watched him drain like 8 3's in a row. Then I don't think he took a shot from the field in the entire game. Wild.

Tons of teams have a start than is a negative offensive asset they have to work around

Not many teams have a defender than can guard 4-5 positions at an elite level

Yes he’s absolutely a starter. He’s not a super star. But he’s a starter and with a different team structure around him you wouldn’t notice his short comings like you do at this stage and in his current role.

There’s an angle where you can see what his thought process is, you see Trae Young coming down hard on him in the paint and the trailing 6er behind him

The frustrating part is that given his ability and size, he should fight through that trae young contact and get the bucket and possibly an and 1 with it. I don’t think anyone even notices it if another player did it. It’s just a microcosm of the frustrating part of his game

I think the free throw thing was just so in his head he did not want to get wrapped up on that play and have to shoot two FTs that would decide the game. I think we just need to recalibrate what kind of player we think he is and he needs to find the right role on the right team for that.

You watch Embiid and Curry in that gif and they both put their hands up with a WTF.

He literally passed up a wide open layup in the 4th quarter of a game 7 to dish the ball. He has negative confidence.
