people only laughed when your team signed him for 90 million guaranteed and then spent a Top 10 pick on a Pennix not long after,
I mean I guess I could go back to when Cousins was signed and quote some responses for you.

I’m not talking about “Pennix”. Which is a whole other monstrosity that I won’t begin to excuse.

at least Tua had more of a body of work.

Love hasn't proved on the field what they just paid him.

18 TDs 1 INT in his last eight games last year. Insanely small sample size and definitely doesn't justify this kind of contract but at the Lions fan in here acting like he's some bum. Dude was second in the league in TDs in his first year starting with receviers all with two years experience or less

Don't get me wrong, had a great year. Solid playoff performances too

64.2% completion rate
4400 total yards; passing was 7.2 YPA, running was 4.9 YPC
36 TDs (32 passing TDs, 4 rushing TDs)
13 Turnovers (11 INTs, 2 Fumbles)

But boy...better show me more than just 1 season of that for the highest paid QB in the league. Teams have tape on you now, its how you adjust that you become elite echelon or not.

He’s no different from Tannehill a couple years back.

Not bad for sitting on the bench for three years, then getting hot for half a season.

Four years in the league and he has two games over 300 yds passing, and eight games over 250 yds.

As a part owner in the Packers I'd say I'm quite happy with this deal. This thread will have some great bumpability come November/December

He can thank the Dallas Cowboys for this contract. They are the gift that keeps on giving.

I'm a Love fan and he was a top 5ish QB the second half of the year and won a playoff game first season as starter but still too much too early. Could have done this midseason if he's still playing at a high level.

Are you signing his checks????

And, he is pretty good SOFAR.. but not this type money hood. To be fair no QB is worth the money they are making.

We understand that. I just think it's retarded. The fastest way to close a Super Bowl window is to pay an above average QB like he is elite.

It's the smart move if you think he's the future of your franchise.

Contracts are going to be even more ridiculous in the coming years. You get your guy at a "discount" now as opposed to trying to keep him later at a much higher price.
