I'm a Mavs fan and absolutely loved that we took LBJ (my favorite player) down in the finals, but that was the flukiest championship team likely in the modern area.

Deshawn "the flamethrower" Stevenson was a starter and Peja came off the bench. Like what the frick.

BTW, that Lakers team was second in the west with a 57-25 record. They had a solid Kobe, healthy Andrew Bynum, along with a Pau, Fisher and Odom who were all still playing well and Dallas swept them.

He was still a damn good spot-up shooter at the time.

Yeah those guys were damn good role players. I fell in love with Shawn Marrion after the series against Portland. Heirs inside game was money and he was too big for our wings to guard.

Dallas doesn't win that title without him being the guy they put on the highest offensive threat of whoever they played. The work he did on Westbrook, Kobe, and Wade was unreal. It was really the only year Dallas had athletic defense to go with that offensive firepower. Letting Chandler walk was the dumbest decision Cuban has ever made.

LeBron got a head start, good for him.

He didn't go to college and win a college championship..
Jordan made the game-winning jump shot in the 1982 NCAA Championship game against Georgetown right? So he's won a clutch championship at both levels, no?

Jordan also skipped out for some baseball.

Are there really people out there that think Lebron is better than Jordan that aren't just trolling? I guess having seen both of them play makes it easy for me. I seriously doubt even Lebron would entertain this notion.

If Lebron drove to the goal against Lambeer and Mahorn they would have made him cry and Lebron would have quit basketball.

Jordan won 3 titles, took a break to play baseball, came back and won 3 more. And also didn't hop between teams chasing a trophy.

Enough of this.

Kobe
No. Kobe is an all time great, but his statistics in the playoffs indicate that he often did not have to shoulder the load as much as some of the other players you listed, as well as LeBron. This was obvious during the Shaq years, but even in his second non-Shaq championship he shot 6-24 in Game 7, and they still won.

LeBron will lose his 6th NBA championship series this year. He is the opposite of clutch.

Jordan 5-0 in NBA championship series.

You lose.

I guess Robert Horry is a top 10 player of all time if that's the criteria.

Because at 6'8 270 he couldn't handle a little physical play, right?

Through the same amount of time on earth, Lebron James has had a better career than Michael Jordan. Jordan will not catch up to James in anything other than steals and Finals MVP's, and I understand if Finals MVP's outweighs everything else

Jordan will not be CATCHING UP to Lebron in anything.

So if LeBron somehow managed to win 4 more titles and went 6-4 in the Finals, 6-4 > 6-0

So going undefeated is worse than being defeated... hm I don't see logic there

The logic is that 10 finals is > than 6 finals, and I don't necessarily agree or disagree. There are many years Jordan didn't make the Finals, where he would have had an opportunity to lose the Finals. I don't love the argument, but I guess I see it

But it's more realistic that Lebron will finish something along the lines of 2-9
You think he gets there 5 more time and loses every time? That's not very realistic at all.

Would you prefer 6 titles and 6 Eastern Conference championships or 6 titles and 10 Eastern Conference Championships?

Are you saying the team that missed the Finals 4 times is better because they weren't good enough to get to the Finals and lost before getting there? How do you not see that logic?

The finals/titles argument has been the easy go-to argument in the Jordan >>> LeBron discussion, even though that is more of a team accomplishment than an individual accomplishment.
