If he were my kid, he’s staying at Duke and getting a Duke diploma.

Ivy League (and similar) diplomas don’t do what they used to do. Diplomas from Duke, Stanford, Harvard, Yale, etc. do not grant immediate access like they once did.

Eh I would not go that far, especially since LeCompte bailed on the team right before the season he quit. Gonzales and Jones made some runs since then but never really had the talent to go farther. They have had some nice FBS players here and there.

People refuse to believe this. “He’s a Louisiana kid, therefore LSU is his dream school and he would jump at the chance.”

The only thing LSU has over Duke is CFP potential. Sheppard can achieve everything else he might want by staying at Duke.

Depends on the degree.

It really doesn’t. Early career salaried employees all make basically the same amount of money in the grand scheme of things

Yeh what degree sets you up with far more money?

Pre med is going to end up the same
Accounting as well
Engineering as well

The “degree from here is worth so much” is never true

The only truth is the people you meet at IVY league schools can get you a leg up on investment banking or PE

Got to be out of your mind trading that degree for one from LSU.

One of the top 25 or so universities in this nation or a big budget community college. Hard choice!

Yeh. Ernst and Young pays their Duke and UvA grads 30% more than their SEC grads!
