Melo isn't going to Miami, but I still want to ask a question.
Why is it that everyone lists Melo as the 4 in that situation? I've always thought that if they played together, LeBron would be the 4.

It's interchangeable imo. Melo placed a decent bit at the 4 as well as LeBron

I think it would be stupid to add melo but he would definitely play the 4 not LeBron. When the Knicks were somewhat good a year or so a go they were best with him at the 4

I don't think it matters much, other than to determine who they'll guard on defense.

Exactly why I was wondering. LeBron is way better at defending 4s than Melo.
Though I suppose most would rather have Bron on a wing than Melo.
