Yeah, but it has been quite a tumble as far as franchises are concerned.
Lakers to Mavs to Wizards. On this progression, he will be playing for Panola Junior College by the end of next year.

Yeah it always cracks me up at how much 2nd round picks are passed around. They are about as valuable as Monopoly money.

Marvin Bagley III
Dallas finally figured out what Vlade knew the whole time.
quote:
Sacramento Kings general manager Vlade Divac had no difficulties making Marvin Bagley III the No. 2 overall pick, rather than go with Serbian star Luka Doncic.
Speaking to reporters after Thursday's NBA draft, Divac called Bagley a "better player" before calling the pick an "easy choice" for the Kings.

This:
Thunder say guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander sustained an abdominal strain in last night’s game against the Magic. He will be re-evaluated following the All-Star break.
And this:
BREAKING: The Philadelphia 76ers are trading guard Jared McCain to the Oklahoma City Thunder for a 2026 Rockets first-round pick and three second-round picks, sources tell ESPN.
Then this
The Hornets acquired Dieng and a second-rounder from the Oklahoma City Thunder for Mason Plumlee, sources said. Dieng was then re-routed to Chicago amid multiple transactions
(Plumlee will get waived, moving Dieng opens roster spot for McCain)
And OKC plays SAS tonight and released this injury report:
Thunder injury report for tonight's game against the Spurs. 10 rostered spots are out:
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (abdominal strain) is out
Chet Holmgren (back spasms) is out
Isaiah Hartenstein (eye corneal abrasion) is out
Lu Dort (patellofemoral joint inflammation) is out
Jalen Williams (hamstring strain) is out
Ajay Mitchell (abdominal strain) is out
Alex Caruso (adductor injury management) is out
Ousmane Dieng (not with team) is out
Nikola Topic (testicular surgery) is out
Thomas Sorber (torn ACL) is out

One year later…
the GM that made the trade has been fired, and AD has been shipped off.
The Mavericks are so unbelievably lucky they fell into Cooper Flagg.

If tweet fails to load, click here. I will always fondly remember and reminisce about the Colin Sexton/Anfernee Simons/Mike Conley era in Chicago.

Been plenty of studs come out of the 2nd round. That's at least 2 HOFers of that list. And these are just current players.

I actually like these moves Atlanta has made dumping Trae and now this. Not a roster that'll make some noise if they make the playoffs this year, but little steps to improve their future.

I know nothing about Hawks basketball, but why are their fans so happy to see Trae Young go? He seemed like the only reason to watch any of their games.

Outside of the covid year dude was an all time chucker. After a while he became a liability to winning. Plus the emergence of Jalen Johnson didn’t help his case either.
