Pure speculation on my part. I know his NFL career has been plagued with serious injuries. Falcons signed him last year I think and he blew his knee out in preseason. Never played a regular season snap there. Missed last year in Minnesota through injury and missed a lot of time with the Cardinals also. Maybe he was realizing his football days were over and couldn’t deal with that. I hope I’m wrong.

Sadly that’s my guess as well. Got to meet him a handful of times and he was a nice young man. This makes me sad.

Rehab can be a long, grueling, and lonely process for any athlete. Going through the process for two straight years can take its toll on anyone, especially if they are fighting existing demons.
