The fact that I had to resort to being a Stanford fan for a few days is pretty heinous IMO

Nah, we'll just watch Game 6 of the 2011 World Series one more time.

Doesn't matter if DVD or VHS, the outcome is still the same.

The Royals won't lose two straight WS. They're the best overall team remaining

Good luck, supa

Hoping you guys get Toronto. Would be fun to see if their sluggers face the same fate as the Cubs did vs your hosses

I think being down on the Cubs off this series is the wrong take

The mets just pitched, hit, played defense and ran the bases out of their minds. Plus the mets had the baseball Gods on their side and everything went their way

I think I wore out this phrase last night, but Murphy's Law has never been more appropriate for a series than this one. Everything the Mets did turned to gold and every ball the Cubs smoked was right at a Met; Daniel Murphy played with his hair on fire and the Mets just beat the Cubs.

What a season. What a year to remember for the Cubs. I've never been more proud to be a Cubs fan than I am right now.

Just as the Mets pitchers are under their control until 2018, I think they said the Cubs young hitters are under control until 2020.

Well shite, the Cardinals wouldn't have done any worse than that.

The Cubs simply shot their wad just to beat the Cardinals. Looks like I was right all along...y'all cashed in all your checks and luck just to win the NLDS.

Yea, after sleeping on the loss, I realize the season was great. Obviously the Cubs need to get better and add some pieces, but that would've been true regardless of the outcome of this NLCS. The experience all of these sub 26 year old players got this year was crucial to their development. Nothing is ever guaranteed, but this team will have as good a chance as any other in baseball to be a perennial contender. I've never been able to say that about the Cubs. Hopefully, in 10 years we'll look back at this season as the starting point of something great.

The better team won this series. I think I'd rather get completely bloodied in this fashion than have it go to a game 7 heartbreaker where in hindsight we'd have had about 30 "what ifs". Regardless, though

One of those things where you think, yeah, we're good, we'll be back a bunch of times. But you just never know. Heck, the Nats were supposed to be awesome this year...

The Nats were also managed by Matt Williams.
