Schedule strength for the pair: No. 42 and No. 39. And both teams are so slow they couldn't run out of sight in a week.

Big Ten has won the National Championship two years in a row. They both looked good throughout the season and last night’s game was a really good matchup between high level teams. Not sure which teams you think are so much better than them. Maybe Georgia is better than them, but not substantially enough to consider them overrated

Ohio State beat a Texas team who beat an A&M team that ran LSU out of their own building.

So….

I can agree with the premise that top to bottom the SEC is by far the most talented conference. But to suggest that the top 3 teams in the B1G is overrated is just bias on your part. That game last night was physical big boy football and Oregon could just have well competed with them. Sure, UGA or one of the other SEC teams in the playoffs may win it all, but they will have to earn it over one of these B1G teams for sure.

Are you sure?
Here’s your fancy AI doing work for you kids. When an old fart like me can use tools that allow y’all to cheat, yall should feel ashamed to be given a lesson. Are you sure about your lengthy connections to the Big 10?

Rival fans call Ohio State "Ohio" as a simple, slightly dismissive shorthand, emphasizing the state over the university to highlight rivalry, mock its dominance, or because "OSU" is ambiguous with other schools (Oregon State, Oklahoma State), making "Ohio" a clear, statewide reference to the dominant team. It's a way to cut through the brand, assert state identity, and acknowledge their powerhouse status in a short, punchy way.
Here's a breakdown of the reasons:
Simplicity & Shorthand: "Ohio" is quicker and easier to yell than "Ohio State" or "Buckeyes," especially in a heated moment.
State Pride: For rivals (especially Michigan), it's about reducing the university to just the state, implying that the entire state is a football powerhouse, not just one school, or to diminish the university's distinct identity.
Avoiding Confusion (Ironically): While the university officially promotes "The Ohio State University" to avoid confusion with Oregon State (OSU) or Oklahoma State (OSU), rivals use "Ohio" as the ultimate identifier for that specific, dominant program.
A Nod to Dominance: It acknowledges that when someone says "Ohio" in a college football context, everyone knows they mean the Buckeyes, the major team representing the entire state.

UGA having the best athletes is the past. Some of y’all won’t get off that bullshite but some of these other schools have leveled up.

It’s a toss up between IU and Ohio State as to which team has the most future pros. That was high level football from the players to the coaches.

ahh yes. transitive property. Ohio State beat a Texas team who lost to a Florida team that we ran out of the building. We're AT least as good as Ohio State and we suck. so they're overrated.

And Texas beat OU who beat Alabama in November and Texas A&M who beat nobody with a pulse so Texas is better than nobody?

Glad you reminded the Rant that the Big 10 teams have won the national championship the last two years.

Georgia would indeed be a worthy opponent for either OSU or Indiana.

I just think a very undeserving Alabama team made the playoff field. Even their former star Mark Ingram didn’t think they deserved it. If any team is overrated, it’s the Crimson Tide.

It’s entirely possible for them to have played weak schedules while being really good themselves.

Ohio is an unranked MAC team. Not sure who's overrating them.

I continue to be amazed by these kinds of statements.

Ohio State played a top 15 SEC school.

Indiana played #5 Oregon

I figured Indiana was the run of the mill yearly team that popped up and would get crushed when they played a SEC team.

But after watching them play Penn St and Ohio St they seem legit.

Their defense and offensive line is solid
