Shaq’s off the cuff jokes were better than Gary Payton’s that someone supposedly wrote for him

Pharaoh and Jeff Ross were the only two who were any good on the panel.
Lily Singh had a good joke about how Shaq has never acted before but the set up was poor. Tiffany Hadish was drunk from the start. Gary Payton was worse than the Situation.
JB Smooth is one of those guys that I just don’t find funny. He’s like Sebastian Maniscalco (sp?). It’s all delivery. If anyone else did his jokes, there would be crickets.
I don’t know how Jay Pharaoh isn’t a bigger star.

This weekend has been a huge hit so far. It shouldn't have taken this long for them to finally have one at the UC. Even the celeb game at the brand new Wintrust Arena was great. I just pray they don't ruin the game even more with how they've forced the Kobe remembrance into how the game is actually won.
For all events I've LOVED the empty seats. Brokers are going broke and it's about time that happened there. (Most secured the tickets through season ticket packages...you can't give away Bulls tickets this year.) Next year should be fun in Indianapolis. My kid is a Giannis fan so we may have to get tickets.
I grew up a Bulls fan so that segment in the pregame with Dominique was great. Jordan got shafted with his low score on dunk #2 and its obvious they offset it on 'Niques 3rd. The roast was decent as well... just wish they COMPLETELY stayed away from anything political.

I just had a chance to actually watch all the dunks from last night. I hate to say it but Aaron Gordon has got to be the best dunker to never win a contest. He got hosed.
At the very least it could have ended in a tie. I mean it's not like the 3-point contest. Everything here is subjective. Should be no problem having co-champions.

Aaron Gordon just had perhaps the greatest Slam Dunk Contest ever to not result in a victory. The Orlando Magic forward scored a perfect 50 on his first five dunks in an event that is normally designed for only four. But ties with Derrick Jones Jr. of the Miami Heat forced the event to go on longer than scheduled. Gordon ultimately lost after his sixth and final dunk, but apparently that was not what the judges wanted.
According to Ramona Shelburne and Malika Andrews of ESPN, the judges had initially planned for the final round to end in a tie. One judge, however, went rogue in the scoring process and gave the victory to Jones. This was stated by multiple judges at the Slam Dunk Contest.
"We thought it was going to be tied. We were like, 'This is a tie!'" Common, a musician and one of the judges, told Shelburne. "But somebody didn't do it right. I don't know who it is."
Another judge, Los Angeles Sparks star Candace Parker, confirmed that this was indeed the plan, instructing Shelburne to "check the scorecard."
So who was the culprit? It's unclear for the moment. Common and Parker both gave Gordon a score of 10 on his final dunk, and their comments to Shelburne make it hard to believe that either of them was responsible. That leaves Dwyane Wade, Chadwick Boseman and Scottie Pippen as the possible responsible parties.
D Wade went rogue.

All of the judges scores were visible. Everyone knows who scored what.
