If you don't like it after you've given it a legit shite, then don't watch. It's pretty simple really.

If you go in with a closed mind, you're gonna hate it.

Now shut the frick up about it and watch more American football.

It would be similar to eliminating offsides in hockey.

Well, I don't know shite about hockey, and I would think most on the board don't either. So, my analogy wouldn't really hit home if I tried the hockey version.

Have a definitive amount of time in the game. Stop the clock during injuries and play to 90:00 or stop play at 90:00 and have the referee declare how much injury time will be played. Right now it seems as though the referee just lets the teams play until he's seen enough.

I also think a penalty box could be instituted like hockey. Soccer power plays could be interesting and would increase scoring.

I would like the rule better if there was a defined zone that determined offsides. Now, defenders can anticipate a pass when they're out of position and run forward causing an offsides. That's bullshite. Put a line on the field...you can't cross that line before the ball or it's offsides.

make scores worth more points.

like each goal is worth 6 points.

when you think about it, a 28-7 football game is the equivalent to a 4-1 soccer game.

Just adding more points to the score tricks the mind.

headbutt goal should be worth extra points

If you induce an offsides penalty, you weren't out of position. It's been a part of soccer strategy for a long time.

That's debatable. If you're supposed to be covering an offensive player but you blow your coverage, have a brain fart, etc., then you can make up for it. Now, that would be a smart play to make up for a mistake, but it contributes to the low scoring in soccer that keeps the average American fan disinterested.

You know some really simple minded people. There are other ways to score in football besides a touchdown, and there are multiple ways to score touchdowns. That's what makes football more exciting than futbol.

There really isn't a debate. If the guy is offsides, he had the brain fart. Also, just becaue you "make up for it" doesn't mean it will work. Offisdes makes communication between the defenders so important. I may move up to make a striker offsides, but my teammate may have kept his position which allowed the striker to stay onsides and score a goal.

Note it's generally close, but he's going to wait for the end of an attack to do it. You know, not call the game when a team could perhaps score.

I'd rather not change something that works, but I do think that would be kind of fun to do. Five minutes for flopping. Kill two birds with one stone.

I'd change nothing. I'd replace every member in FIFA though.

Not just the American mind, specifically the mind that is interested once every four years...
