I don't think guys are "excited" in a sexual sense to see a dildo. I think it's like I said, actions often generate equal, but opposite reactions. The media/players are DEMANDING the public give more importance to the league than is warranted...so the public is reacting by throwing one of the most absurd items they can think off on the floor. Basically, the public is saying "Oh, you're demanding we take you and your league seriously? Well, this is how important we think you are...catch this dildo"
