I think Houston is probably going to regret letting almost the entire core of their team walk the past few years
Not the first two (Springer and Correa). Neither have produced to the level of the contracts they received.

Still holding out hope he comes back to the Stros. Let him split time at 3B, 1B, 2B, SS and DH. Super utility guy, let him play 5 times a week.

Like Correa, Springer and soon-to-be Tucker, he’s going to regret not staying in Houston.
Well unlike the others, I don’t think Tuck had much of a say in the matter. We may regret giving away Tucker though.

I quit following MLB over 20 years ago. Based on everything I am reading now, chances are good he will go to the Dodgers. They seem to be buying every available all star player.

Is he a Boras guy? if so that's part of the problem.
He wants 6 years and I know that's the sticking point with the Astros and I think it is with other teams as well.

Tucker wanted an extension after missing half the season and being absolutely awful in his last 3 playoff appearances.
Basically, the Astros figured they'd just go ahead and trade him and get something back rather than letting him walk for nothing in return next year.

Since you're genuinely curious, tho I can't speak for the OP, here's my answer:
I am an LSU fan.
I follow LSU sports & LSU players who make it to the pros. When people ask me which NFL team I want to win, I pick the team with the most former LSU players on it (unless it's the Bengals, haha! Gotta' stick w/Burreaux!) I find myself often torn and inconsistent, but there it is.
So, if there's an LSU player leaving a pro sports team, especially one or our greatest ever, then like the OP, I would be interested where he goes because I support (or am at least interested in) whatever team he's on.
I know some of my homies back in the Boot feel like it's gotta be the Saints, Pels & maybe the Astros (for proximity), but none of those can hold my loyalty like a team w/former Tigers on it.

Us native Houston area Tigers will be happy to show you the door as you get off of the Astros fan bus...
Been a fan since 1963 and seen many players come and go and just because Bregman played for LSU doesn't change my mind as an Astros fan.
astros fans really do be weird as frick. So now you hate him??

I dont understand the contract demands of taking guys into their late 30s at super high amounts. Most guys are a shell of themselves by that point. Very rare to see (just as) highly productive as their former selves (position player) near 40 years old in MLB. There some freaks but thats not the norm.

So when former LSU players go to Bama or POOLANE or Ole Piss, yall don’t hate him? Yall say “he is now Tiger Bait”.
Y’all get mad when Burrow says he roots for OSU.
I’ll always love Breggy for what he has done for the Stros but he will never be over the team. He will tell you that exact same thing.
Team first.

I don't either it's bad business. The Padres loaded down a couple of years back with long contracts for guys in their 30's, it's gonna kill them down the line, same thing for the Phillies.

And unlike the others, Tucker is probably one who would have been worth a big contract extension. The writing was on the wall for Correa, Springer, and Bregman. You can tell they are past their prime. But Tucker, he’s still in his prime, and still has years left in his prime.

Tucker was bad in the playoffs and frankly is not great defensively despite the gold glove BS, you see all the plays he should make that he doesn’t if you go to the games.
He is also Bregman’s age or a year behind.
The issue I have with not signing him is his speed and power.
Bregman was the leader in the clubhouse who prepared the other players for the pitchers they would face similar to what Maldonado did.
That’s what they will miss the most without question.
Bregman was offered a 6 year deal and he should have taken it IMO.

This.
And to know we extended Yordan for 6 years 115M…
Scott Boras is embarrassing Bregman.
