Except it doesn't.. Louisiana-Monroe made the decision to rebrand athletics as "ULM", which opened the door for Louisiana-Lafayette to rebrand their athletics as "Louisiana".
Louisiana is the only state in the union without a "University of STATE" school, and in this instance it's literally only an athletics brand.. Which, by the current trajectory of college sports, will be seen on TV about once every 5 years.

They can call athletics anything they want but the name of the schools are still officially UL-

not one LSU fan nor podcast reported a ULL YouTube channel that streamed games to help people watch. If LA tech or Nichol's podcast did it we would treat them the same way. except:
1. it was a ULL podcast that did it.

The second best and some years even the best team in LA belongs to Tulane. ULL fans are annoying thinking they sit on the 1/st2nd place podium when most years they sit on the 3rd place podium and 2nd if they overachieve.

The dislike from LSU fans go way further back than whenever this podcast thing that happened recently and I don't see threads on this site about other teams with the worst record in the state in baseball like this one unless it's the Cajuns.

Are we talking football or sports in general? Because if we are talking sports in general, no team in the last decade has had more national success behind LSU in sports than the Cajuns. Outside of Tulane's Cotton Bowl win, what else are you referring to?

Nope, you're ULL and sadly other schools (mine) never called you on your bullshite. You call it branding and everyone else sees you trying to be something you're really not.
It's the same reason that many think La Tech's current athletic situation is hilarious. They were trying to separate themselves and be something they're not and it backfired on them when their conference blew up.
What y'all don't understand is that everyone besides LSU is still just a directional school by another name. It didn't change you who are.

Exactly. They do it because ULL has been obsessive about it and because ULM chose not to enforce it, much to the chagrin of many alums. All it means is that you think you’re different. Everybody in the state knows better. People outside of Louisiana and maybe parts is Texas, Mississippi, and Arkansas only know LSU. And they do not care about any but LSU.
