Let it be written, let it be done.

Nefreteri really got done wrong in that telling of the story.

She was ride or die (literally) for Moses and even after he put her aside she came and tried to do right for his family.

It wasn’t until his threats killed her son that she started her villain arc, but you have to sympathize with her.

I prefer watching Ben Hur. For some reason that’s always been my favorite old biblical movie

Same here but Anne Baxter's wardrobe in The Ten Commandments still continues to draw my ..um... attention to this day. Amazing that they were able to get away with that in 1956 during the Hays Code years.

Debra Paget was strikingly beautiful. I think she's still alive too.

I don't think you can play a part better than Yul Bynner did in this movie.

A very underrated movie in this category, not as long as The Ten Commandments or Ben Hur, is Barabbas (1961) with Anthony Quinn. I missed it this year but it’s usually on TCM around Easter.

Not that she needs help liking her even more, but she is quoted as saying:

A conservative, she stated in a 1976 television interview with the CBC: "I'm all for men and I think they ought to stay up there and be the bosses, and have women wait on them hand and foot and put their slippers on and hand them the pipe and serve seven-course meals; as long as they open the door, support the woman, and do their duty in the bedroom, et cetera."

Well Yvonne, i would have gladly held the door open for you and do my duty to you in the bedroom.

Also, Audrey Hepburn wanted the role of Nefertari but was told she wasn’t curvaceous enough to wear the form fitting Egyptian clothing.
