Bit of a dark horse here, but Kilgrave was terrifying because he looked human, but it was obvious he lacked something that makes people fundamentally human. So well acted, the confusion on his face during certain parts when he didn't even realize what he was doing was wrong was just so mentally jarring.

Absolute masterclass in how to play a villain by David Tennant. Honestly I rank it up there with Ledger’s Joker.

It also helps because his powers aren’t the kind that the protagonist can just punch their way through. He’s not a stronger or crazier version of the protagonist; his powers are potentially deeply terrifying against even the strongest hero.

Clicked on the thread to post a "Omar's coming! Omar's coming!" gif Agree on Kilgrave. He pretty much made the show. I stopped watching in S2 because it sucked without him.

Some others not mention:

- Marlo/The Wire
- Moriarty/Sherlock. Possibly tGOAT
- Patti Levin/The Leftovers
- Alice Morgan/Luther
- Oz/The Penguin
- Joffrey/Game of Thrones
- Homelander/The Boys
- Angelica/Rugrats
- Oksana/Killing Eve
