I like all the guys who played Bond. I grew up with Bond and I grew up with Moore being James Bond. I think he played the part perfectly. I know its not popular. I also think Brosnan was perfect for Bond.

Craig changed the part. He made it more physical and more emotional. Bond was always more Gentleman like and he played it more like a Boss. Not good or bad, just my opinion.

James Bond was not really suppose to fall in love and Craig did that. He was always a love em and leave em guy.

I just finished Thunderball. Looking forward to the next 2 plus I have never seen On Her Majesty's. And honestly it's going to be fun to see the Moore run again. He's the Bond I grew up with so I'll always like him, but I do wonder if I'll like him as much after watching all the Connery ones first.

The Roger Moore films are so bad in retrospect, but the one with Walken and Grace Jones always stood out.

That's the perfect combo of awful movie, but excellent song. Duran Duran had a top 10 hit, but yes, the movie is pure trash.

I like the Moore movies, but yeesh, they're not good. Just enjoy them for what they are.

My biggest gripe with the Craig films is that they ruin my favorite fan theory: Bond isn't a man, he's a designation. It's a title to be promoted towards. James Bond shouldn't have a childhood or a backstory. James Bond is a rank you achieve within MI-6.

Rewatched all the Moore movies over the last few weeks.

Roger Moore is the best Bond, then Connery is a close second.

I don't think even Roger Moore would put himself in the top three. To Bond purists who read the books and respect the character, Moore was at times cartoonish. Then when he did get serious it was not believable because he'd just done or said something silly.

I grew up with Moore as Bond and didn't really see the Connery films til Dalton re-energized my interest in the series. Dalton was supposed to do more Bond films but scheduling and timing got in the way.

Brosnan was supposed to be Bond earlier but he couldn't get out of his Remington Steele tv shows. Brosnan was an excellent Bond, but after Goldeneye his movies just weren't as good.

My top five: Goldfinger, Casino Royale, Goldeneye, Live and Let Die, Skyfall (but my top five changes often; however, Goldfinger is always my #1).

I would argue Skyfall is the best Bond film but the purest would kill me. Either way its a great film.

Ever?

It's not even the best Craig Bond. Casino Royale takes that by a wide margin. i like Skyfall, but best ever is crazy talk. I'm assuming you haven't seen some of the classics?

I can see those who read the books not liking him. I disagree on him not being believable when he had to be serious. The silliness added an extra layer to his character IMO. That even in the most high pressure situations, he kept his cool enough to be silly. I know that wasn’t the reason for the silliness being in the films but thats my head canon

My top 5 Bonds are

1) Live and Let Die
2) Goldeneye (first Bond I ever saw and after I had played the game)
3) From Russia With Love
4) Octopussy
5) Goldfinger

Take Jane Seymour's hotness out and Live and Let Die is very meh.

Connery was the best. Lazenby was fine, Roger Moore was too campy, Dalton was solid, I thought Brosnan was fantastic but aside from Golden Eye had bad stories. Craig started out so well with Casino Royale then fizzled out like a big vag.

Controversial pick, From Russia with Love might be my favorite.

Love rewatching them once a year when Pluto runs them on the seasonal Bond channel. Dr. No was so pure being the first. Ursula wore that bikini well huh?

From Russia With Love is great as well.

I like most of them except not crazy about the Pierce Bronsnon ones for some reason idk

Funny how the opening music scenes turned into soft core porn

Not controversial. I watched it for the first time last year and was shocked it doesn’t get more love from the fanbase. I think it was in an awkward spot coming after the first movie and then after it Goldfinger made the series a global phenomenon.

I believe JFK said it was his favorite book

From Russia with Love is my favorite also. Connery was in fine form and all of the supporting actors were great as well. And Daniela Bianchi, what a babe!

I can't tell you why, but i was never a fan either. Maybe it was the writing or the fact that Brosnan started about a decade too late.

Watching James Bond get his arse kicked by two women named Bambi and Thumper in Diamonds Are Forever when it is plenty obvious these dumb bitches have never fought before is hilarious. After getting his arse kicked all over the room, he simply older brother style dunks them in the pool.

And then the ending!

The one henchman comes slowly at him with flaming kabobs, gets alcohol thrown on him and goes up like a torch

The other guy Bond wedgies with his own coat tails, ties the bomb to the coat tails, and then flips him arse over teakettle into the water and he explodes.

That’s some Wile E. Coyote shite right there.

I find him hard to watch because he’s too much of a pretty boy. Hey just not plausible as a guy that can handle himself well enough to kick anybody’s arse. I can’t not see him as anything other than a soft handed pussy.

I like his films. I also like some of his other work. He was fantastic in The Thomas Crowne Affair

I think maybe I'm a little jealous of his looks possibly Idk

side note: he was good in that movie where he's a depressed hitman
