I think Raquel would have overshadowed the rest of the cast too much, at least from the view of the producers.

Racquel would make Tina Louise look like a dog. RW doesn't give off the girl next door vibe. Ginger was supposed to be the Marilyn Monroe type bombshell. Dawn Wells was hot in her own way

I think she was waaaaay to hot for that show. They might as well of called it "Rapist Island" cause that's all the actors, writers, characters and viewers would be thinking about every episode. Hell Mrs Howell would have tried to hit that!
