I remember watching Highlander and Renegade at my mamaw’s house when I was young. When the theme song started I would get as hyped as a 7-8 year old could.

Remember when one of the baddest bad guys on the show for a period was Roland Gift, the lead singer for Fine Young Cannibals?

Great show with some great characters. Don't forget Roger Daltry's character.

Great show. Some cheesy moments here and there, but I don’t mind at all. I bought the whole series a while back in a bundle sale on Vudu for like $10. If anyone is interested keep an eye on Vudu (now called fandango at home). They do those bundle sales often. I’ve been thinking about this show a lot watching the Olympics. Every time they show footage of the Seine, it reminds me of Duncan’s barge. I thought that was so bad arse when I was a kid. I wonder what a barge like that would go for these days?

Sucks we have to wait 2 more years to see henry cavill in the reboot.

I bet if they really wanted to they could pump movies out in 8 months. A bunch of people who set their wages off deadlines and never beat them, intentionally.

" well this post production is going to take us at LEAST 6 months so we will give you a promised dealing of 9 after you finish filming"

Does a little bit month 1 and 2... sits on arse working a few hours a week until month 7.... rushes the rest and just somehow makes the deadline!

Some pretty fun guest stars on this show. I remember Joan Jett, Sheena Easton, and Rowdy Roddy Piper to name a few.

Every episode is on YouTube. MexicoMike has pretty good audio

13 min video with chapters for the roles

Didn't know Marion Cotillard was in it (briefly).

Anybody ever watch the spin-off Raven?

It used to come on "Sci-fi Sunday" after Star Trek TNG. Awesome show...
Star Trek TNG/DS9, Highlander, then Outer Limits.

Pack a fat bowl and knock out some Highlander.

Fewer things better in life. Maybe a juicy steak and SEC football. But that’s about it.

I don’t recall: was it mostly a monster of the day show with some storylines bleeding over? Or more ongoing story by episode?

I don't want to admit how often I think about what maintenance had to be done for his barge. When was he doing it?

There were a lot of scenes that started with somebody coming to talk to him while he was doing random stuff on the barge. His neighbor Maurice took care of it while he was in the States.

It was from the 1986 film, which had legit one of the best combos of original soundtrack and original score of the last 30+ yrs.

Michael Kamen OSC + Queen OST

Only a music video director could have pulled off such a feat.

And BTW, USA network used to have some really great shows. La femme Nikita The Series also aired at the same era as Highlander the series.

Television, even cable networks, actually used to be really good.

I can't even say Gavin MacLeod without also saying "of the Clan MacLeod."

This thread got me doing a re-watch. I started looking up some of the cast. Sadly, the actor that played Richie committed suicide in January 2020.

This is a link to the entire series that is free on YouTube.

Well to be fair, he had all the time in the world

Think about it, it's not like he's going to get too old to keep at it. And I'd imagine just like the Elves in Tolkien, immortals have a different perception of time. Even relationships are just brief, fleeting interludes; 30 yrs with someone is like a fling. He's going to keep doing his thing, as long as he doesn't get his head chopped off.
