Point me to the threads where any time the subject of women or minorities was kept a civil and respected conversation. It doesn't happen.
People refused to play nice and Chicken responded with action and now those people are acting surprised like they never expected to actually have any consequence for their actions. Granted as we've seen here, they just blame everyone else instead.

It's foolish to just use a blanket statement to say everyone in favor of this is a liberal cheerleader, but not surprising from you. Some of us just want this place cleaned up from the shitshow it has been allowed to become the last few years.

No. It’s the poliboard folks that come here to bash everything they don’t like and to make everything about political discourse. I guess it’s because they feel like they are dunking on those who enjoy the regular discussion about the show/movie, but it absolutely brings down the whole board.

I mean if we're throwing that out there's a reason there's a handful of people railing against this and just by observation, a good chunk of them are the problem to begin with.

I have, and I am for this move and I am pretty fricking far from a liberal cheerleader. I dislike a lot of what Hollywood has done to movies these days and I think Disney has ruined Star Wars and that The Rings of Power is an abomination. That doesn't mean I am going to spend my time here doing nothing but bitching about it and ruining every thread with the same bullshite over and over again like some of you do. There is more that I love about movies than what I hate and I would rather celebrate that than spew nothing but negativity that will do little more that annoy everyone else here and it damn sure wont solve the problem.

The people opposing this need to lump everyone together because otherwise they have to recognize that there is different opinions and beliefs rather than the black and white world they live in. Everyone who doesn't agree with them is out to get them. They are the ones making life hard. Has to be. Because otherwise that means *gasp* it might be their own fault for the problems in their life.

Ok, I'll say this then, in regards to the Acolyte show:
Are we saying that when a creator comes out and says they are making the gayest Star Wars ever, is a thread about whether or not that is right or wrong, or what the goal of that is:
A) A political discussion
B) A M/TV Discussion
C) Both
And how does that change whether or not it can be talked about here?

IMO, starting a thread on that and discussing it is fine, but keep it in THAT thread. Dont litter the episode threads with it, dont insert in every thread made about a Disney/Star Wars show...make a thread on it and keep it there.
