Yep. The only defense is that they’ve forecasted disaster for every character.

They’re going to go from three or four episodes of filler to a ridiculous episode where disaster hits for everyone. Basically all the important plot twists in 40 minutes rather than using the whole season.

I hate it when they do that. Fans want to see some things working, not just crap hitting the fan for everyone all at once.

Yup. Bunch of whiny entitled titty babies that want everything catered and spoonfed to them.

I think Sam Elliot will play a big role eventually..The term "Wildcat" was very deliberately used by him and the Geologist that's tapping Rebecca with regards to finding an active well in the sea.

Do you really think Taylor Sheridan has thought that far ahead ? I’m not sure he has. Last several episodes have been so disappointing and veer completely away from the initial episodes.

I honestly think that Taylor writes about 3 episodes ahead, and he and Paramount sit down to check the ratings after each episode to try and decide how many more they should write..

"We can squeeze another season and a half out of them, easy..."

They have dropped a bunch of hints about Sam working in Sabine Pass and Offshore. It seems he will come into play somehow with the gas rig in the Gulf.

I am done with the women on this show. It's needless. There should be enough drama with the different business and field issues. I guess they are trying to attract females.

Nate been around long enough to know that secret-frick gonna come out at the worst possible moment, typically at a deposition or with the geologist on the stand.

It's like the big dumb kid in every war movie. If he shows somebody a picture of his girl back home, he's inevitably a goner.

Red shirt/black character on Star Trek TOS? Same thing.

I was banking on it.

Instead, Tommy did what he always does with Angela: he pussed out.

Maybe sarcasm that's flying over my head... you do realize the time from writing an episode to post production is many months, likely a year.

I like the old man wisdom he throws out. It applies to everybody and something we should all consider.

Like this last episode saying something to the effect of "If you're always focused on the next issue to resolve you'll never get a chance to enjoy life"

It's probably because he's playing Sam Elliot. He plays Sam Elliot in every role he takes.

I'm finishing the season, but that's it for me. And the people wishing we'd stop criticizing the show, I'm sorry but that ain't happening.

Sheridan makes some great shows, but often times, he just loses interest, focus, something. And that's where we are in this one.

I loved the first season, a mix of soap opera, a mix of gritty, oil and gas stuff, albeit unrealistic.

These last three episodes were like 10% oil and gas, 88% relationships, and 2% spinny horses.

Most will probably be back next week to show us how much more evolved their tastes in television are than us plebes.
