How the hell are they going to pull this off? Stupid. Talk about a movie that doesn’t need a remake. Especially one set in modern day. How is Patrick going to get away from conversations?

“I have to cancel some streaming services?” Is he going to be pissed about Paul Allen’s LinkedIn profile?

Terrible idea

it’s very much a time period piece.

it doesn’t make sense in modern day.

Sounds like a bad idea but this line gives me some hope it may be interesing:

and Herron’s film veered considerably from the source.

Will it be a more faithful adaptation of the book or a woke version of the movie?

The setting: New York during the peak yuppie 80's culture, is intrinsic to every fiber of the entire story.

You have to change so much it's no longer the same story at all. It's now just some weird bastardized ripoff story that shares the same name.

It will not be as good as the original.

They really never do the original justice.

There are just some movies that shouldn’t be remade and this movie is one of them.
