We've seen a huge influx of new members recently, between the Orgeron champions and then the Poli Board posters. I think it's made the site a little worse overall, as most of the new ones are pretty rabid about trolling and attacking people.

I'm not big into SW so her using the force didn't bother me, that scene just looked awful and out of place.

I don't think its the fact that Leia has the ability to use the force that people are upset about, its just how fricking awful that scene is in general.

Yesterday, Solo made 1.8 mill on 4,335 screens while Deadpool 2 made 1.7 mill on 3,823 screens. It will likely pass up Solo some time this week and definitely this weekend when Solo's screen count takes a big drop (contracts ending). Deadpool was released a week earlier.
What can be the explanation for this?

My tinfoil hat theory is that Rian added it in post production after Carrie Fisher's death as some sort of head fake. "Ahhh, so that's how Leia will be written out...psych!"
It's just seems added on, IIRC Leia has a head bandage or something in her later scenes like it was originally supposed to be that she took shrapnel or a head injury instead of being blasted out into space and the fact that NOBODY SAYS A WORD ABOUT ANY OF THIS at any later point in the movie.
No "Hate to be a bother, General Leia, but do you want to at least give a shot at tipping one of those walkers over with your mind since it looks like we're about to die anyway?" or something like that.

Watched it a few days ago, good flick and I hate everything new besides Rogue One. I'm more interested in these back stories than the new shite they keep pushing personally
