That almost kills any chance of Matt Murdock being his lawyer

Holy geez I hadn't even thought of this. I'd flip my shite if the trailer popped up and Charlie Cox strolled in the room.

Fairly obvious from the beginning that Disney never had a leg to stand on. They have been building towards PP as the next Ironman.

Disney had to bend the knee to whatever Sony wanted

MCU keeps winning.

That other thread should’ve been bumped.

Sony’s dumb announcements about “Madame Web” gtfo here with that.

They are squeezing the last $$$ before Amazon/Apple buys them up and the rights revert back for free.

Pretty sure the Japs would tell Disney and anyone trying to buy a piece of em to both bring it and get fricked.

1) Bitches love Spider-Man.

2) Japanese fricking love Spider-Man.

Thank goodness. This is best for both parties. Holland kills it as Peter/Spider-Man and there’s been no resolution to his story yet so this only made sense.

Hoping the caveat about “one other MCU” movie means they intend for him to stay even afterwards. I’d love to see Spider-Man interact on screen with Deadpool, the F4, X-Men...possibilities are endless here. Too much money to pass up for both sides

Full details have not been released but the way the article is written it seems like at least for now the MCU/Sony deal will be on a movie to movie basis. Basically if Disney keeps pumping out billion dollar Spidey flicks it'll keep going. The moment they falter? Sony may bail.

quote:

Terms of the new deal were not revealed, but it will allow Marvel and its chief Feige to produce and run creative point on one more movie that would star Tom Holland, the actor who is the current incarnation of the web-slinging superhero. Depending on how things go, more movies could be in the offing.

Speculation is starting to build that Feige will use this deal write Spidey out of the MCU.

Lot can happen in a few years. Marvel will use the threat of writing him out as a way to get a better deal next time.

For those ignorant of Marvels go to strategy for DECADES: put Spider-Man in every book to boost sales.

Given the comics relationships with so many characters, he should be paired with:

The Fantastic Four/Johnny Storm
Daredevil
Punisher/Kingpin
Iceman and Firestar
Jessica Jones
Spider-Woman
Deadpool
Wolverine
Hulk
Ghost Rider
Luke Cage
Howard the Duck
Moon Knight
She-Hulk
Captain Marvel
Captain Britain
Power Pack
Cloak and Dagger
Blade

And probably like 20 more.

Point being, the possibilities are fricking endless.

Holland should play Parker for 10 more years
