You can't be one of the most expensive shows ever and have a main defense of " just can't believe we couldn't see where it was really going/why didn't it get time to breathe"

Maybe next time they'll actually do a show based on the initial premise of the show: which was a show about the Sith's workings before the Phantom Menance.

If only we had any source material to work with..

Do you really want Disney to ruin more legacy characters and stories?

$180 million for a season requires a helluva lot of “room to breathe.” A Star Wars show struggling to crack the top 10 for streaming shows is criminal malfeasance. Calling your fandom names probably didn’t help.

It’s obvious Headland was more interested in making a political statement than making a good show. Even before the show was finalized she repeatedly made overtly divisive statements that guaranteed at least half of the potential audience would find insulting. And Kathleen Kennedy let her do it. For that alone, even setting aside all her other failures, Kennedy should be fired.

Why would they cancel it? It was critically acclaimed and was a gigantic smash hit. Huge ratings and everyone loved it and thought it was awesome.

Seems odd to cancel something so tremendously successful after one season.

True.

What I’d love is for someone like Elon Musk to buy the franchise and find the best writers and producers who know and love Star Wars. No politics, no agendas, just great Star Wars stories. Put them to work on projects like trilogies for:

Darth Revan
Darth Bane
Grand Admiral Thrawn

Plus a new post ROTJ trilogy to complete the story of Luke, Leia, Han, Lando, etc. and set up stories for the future of the Jedi/Sith and the Star Wars galaxy.

There could even be live action shows about the Galactic Civil War, maybe see some of the battles mentioned before but never seen on screen.

There is a literal ocean of subject material that could be covered, and covered well. How about the origins of the Jedi and later the Sith? Imagine seeing the story of guys like Exar Kun, Freedon Nadd, or the story of the early Jedi vs. Sith wars.

If you really stop to think about it, it's truly remarkable that a franchise as valuable as SW has been destroyed, millions upon millions lost because pushing an agenda is the most important. And for the people that actually think this might get Disney to wake up, no way in hell they've learned their lesson as long as KK is still employed.

What annoys me most about these Twitter idiots, is that they don’t even actually care. I’d almost rather someone be that stupid than just be a performative sky screamer.

Imagine living your life constantly yelling “someone please think of the children!”

Seems exhausting.

They’ll all forget about this (very forgettable) show and shriek when the next show with a black, non-binary actress and a director that hates the audience gets cancelled.

As if any of it means anything at all.

These people live in a bubble world if they think a show was cancelled because they “listened” to people critical of the show on Twitter and some YouTube critics. Make good shows and people will watch also maybe declaring a show isn’t for a certain demographic that just happened to be the largest portion of the fanbase don’t be surprised if they don’t watch
