There was a docuserires on many years ago about the Americas. They had Tom Selleck narrating. It was done by a group from a anither country. Can’t remember which one. At the end of the last episode they said they couldn’t understand why Americans travelled abroad so much because America has so many diverse beautiful regions. America is a very beautiful country. Just gotta get out there and see it all. Been wanting to watch the new series.

Crazy that he's still able to do it pushing 99 years old. Idk what the BBC is going to do when he's gone. The tried Cumberbatch, but his inability to pronounce the word "Penguin" is probably not great for his future prospects

My favorite nature documentary is "The Flood" narrated by Angela Bassett. I don't think I've heard her do any others, but she was awesome in this. It's on Disney+ if anyone is looking for one to watch.

I'm a big fan, but for me, no one will ever top George Page

David McCullough and John Chancellor are the GOAT Ken Burns narrators. Would've rather had an AI version of one of them doing this.

Its good but it isn't on the level of most David Attenborough docs IMO. But I have enjoyed it well enough. The Gulf Coast episode was a bit of a let down, but I think that my expectations were too high because I live on the GC. Like why did they feature an invasive species in the apple snail? And the Okefenokee swamp? Its much closer to the Atlantic Coast than the Gulf Coast.

Same here. Great show, but Hanks' narration at times seems... off.

Agree with this. Like he is trying to be to dramatic at times, and impishly clever at other times. I'll take David Attenborough over anyone.

Planet Earth. I had just gotten my first HDTV, a 55" Sony. And I was absolutely blown away with how everything looked and how absolutely gorgeous it was.

The first scene I saw was a commercial cut from the fresh water episode that used an early drone or something (could not imagine at the time how they filmed it) that went over the edge of a waterfall. It was stunning at that time, and I remember telling several folks about it.

I think the last one is my favorite so far. South America and the Andes has always fascinated me.

The Andes didn’t do much for me but the frog that could freeze solid then thaw out and still be alive was pretty cool
