The Nolan car made it obvious that Batman is a rich man, which considerably narrows down who Batman might be. It shouldn't be that obvious.
I mean, so has every other Batmobile.

I always thought why would a rich man want to take the risks that Batman takes. Just sit back and stay fat and happy.

God damn that looks good. The score sounds sick as well.
I know people are mentioning him getting shot in the chest but I think that just goes to show just how “don’t give a frick” this young Batman will be. Not only is he only a year in but based from the trailer, and even lines spoken, it’s clear he is totally ok with dying. Seems like he wants to.
This movie will frick

Nolan laid the groundwork.
My critique of those films is that oftentimes it didn’t feel like Batman. Just a crime thriller, which worked at the time but after repeat viewings, just don’t feel like Batman. It was more into the mythology of Batman, that Batman was a symbol and could be anyone, which is why it ended the way it did.
This movie looks like it strikes a balance between the grittiness and darkness of the Nolan trilogy while also fixating more on Bruce and how not just anyone can be the Bat. It takes, resources, focus, and rage that a normal person just doesn’t have. Except Bruce.

Yeah, this is going to be good. I had no idea Batman was a Nirvana fan though. Learn something new everyday.

Simple. He is mentally broken. The Bruce Timm animated series stated it best in the Justice League cartoon when Batman says, "I haven't been a kid since I was 8 years old."

Oh I get it from Batman’s perspective. I was countering the argument that Gotham would immediately assume it’s a rich guy.

My. Holy. Sweet. Mary. Mother. And. Joseph.
The fight choreography looks incredible. Like Daredevil on speed with the brutality increased ten levels. The entire cast honestly looks perfect in the role. And Colin Farrell. Now that’s a transformation.
The fear element looks very real with criminals. Something they got away from in Dark Knight and Rises. It lost the noir look with the move from the Gotham Slums.
Reeves looks like he has the finger on the pulse of the Batman character. Can’t wait for an accurate depiction of the Detective aspect of Batman instead of the highly trained assassin.

Seems fit for the CW, not a blockbuster movie.

So Selina is helping Bruce?
It would be more comics accurate. They mess with it from time to time but Selina/Catwoman has been the de facto Batman love interest for most of the last 40 some odd years.
Usually it winds up with Selina falling into the "mom" role for the extended Bat family and then they reboot the universe (this happens once every 6 years of so) and she goes back to being an outsider for a year or two.

I don’t care how good that hair looks, he shouldn’t appropriate other cultures.

In the comics he might as well be super human. He’s in peak human condition. Knows like a 100 marital art forms. One of the smartest people in the world.
