Paul Rudd and Jason Segal.

But I assume you're joking though..

I saw the Hangover late last week, and it was funny, but may be the most overrated movie I've seen on this board since TDK.

Yes. I saw The Hangover Saturday and while it was funny, I wish I would not have read anything here, cause I went in thinking this was going to be another Anchorman or Old School. It was good, but just not "best of the decade".

Exactly.

I thought it was great, but nowhere near as good as, say, 40 Year Old Virgin or Old School. Although it's in the same comedic vein as those movies, it wasn't as good.

I really liked it though.

I can't make a call comparing Hangover to Anchorman yet (IMO it is better than Old school). The first time I saw Anchorman I hated it and thought it was stupid. Now it's funnier everytime I see it.

The over hype on this movie is astounding. I liked it but It will not come close to be my favorite comedy of the last few years let alone ever.

Heck, I don't really have any interest in watching it again.

saw it on friday...IMO people are overrating the hell out of this...6/10. Lots of laughs but far from "the funniest movie ever" that people are labeling it

6/10???? You are aware that would be a D- in a class, and pretty much an F. It was in the very least an 8/10. In the very least.

Nope. Not 8 of 10 for me. Only way it would have hit 8 of 10 would have been some CGI Ledger Joker added in.

Hangover may be overrated, but its certainly funnier than Anchorman. That is the most overrated comedy of all time.

fwiw i think it's so overrated (if it is) is because there was vitrually no hype going into it. no one knew what to expect.

I'll buy this...I thought it was hilarious.

This thread shows us that it's kind of different strokes for different folks. I think Hangover is one of the top two or three comedies in the last several years. Others scoff say it couldn't compare to Dumb and Dumber or Napoleon Dynamite, while I think those moves are horrible/stupid. It just depends on your sense of humor.

Unless I missed the picture, they still never explained how Phil got injured and had to go to the hospital.

I'm just assuming Wayne Newton's guys beat the shite out of him. They show a picture of him punching Wayne then the next picture is him in the hospital I think

It was OK. I snickered a few times (mostly at the asian guy), but most of it was so-so. There was no explanation as to why Zack Galifinakis' character was as weird as he was. It was like he was trying to hard to just be weird for weirdness' sake, and it didn't seem to fit. And why was the asian dude naked in the trunk?

It was kind cool that there was a backtracking puzzle element to it, but by the end I just wanted them to find the guy.

I'm not going to berate you for your opinion, and I won't go overboard saying this is the funniest movie ever, but I did really enjoy this and thought it had some really funny moments. Yes there are lulls, and I don't think it will reach the upper echelon of comedies (things like Holy Grail, IMO), but its better than a lot of comedies that have come out recently. When I first saw previews I thought Year One would be a lot better than this (just look at the star power) but it was barely a chuckle while this was very very funny. I was also surprised at the theater being absolutely packed last night when I saw it after being out for weeks. Usually not the case with comedies, especially ones rated R

I liked it but it isn't an all timer

biggest plot hole: housekeeping never going into the suite to clean it and see the shape it was in.

True, but I don't get why people read so much into such little things like that, but that's just me.
