Either the greatest director working today or the most overrated (at least according to this board, we don't deal in gray here), Christopher Nolan has been making movies since 1998 when he released his first film Following. Since then, he's been on a critical/commercial winning streak with the following movies under his belt:
Memento (2000)
Insomnia (2002)
Batman Begins (2005)
The Prestige (2006)
The Dark Knight (2008)
Inception (2010)
The Dark Knight Rises (2012)
Interstellar (2014)
Dunkirk (2017)
Tenet (2020)
Oppenheimer (2023)
Whether you love him or hate him, you can't deny the impact he has had on cinema for the last quarter century. So happy birthday to Nolan!

And he's still got a lot left in the tank

The Prestige (2006)
My #1 favorite movie I think.
As beloved as it is, I still think it's pretty underrated.

Didn’t realize he was that young. Memento came out in 2020 when he was just 20 years old. Insane.

What impact would that be?

My only real complaint is the muddled/muffled dialog track that is, apparently, intentional. And, I'm not watching Tenet.
Finally going to watch Oppenheimer this weekend.

Well he's certainly not this. Can't earn that title when you have dogshit like TDKR and Tenet in your filmography
He's a highly skilled big budget filmmaker that knows how to get the most out of his resources. His big hangups are his terrible dialogue (his writing in general is very lacking), his god awful editing, and his overreliance on his one trick pony - temporal elements.

Spielberg has AI and Crystal Skull
FFC has Jack and Twixt.
Ridley Scott has Exodus and Napoleon
Tom Hooper has Cats
Christopher Columbus has Bicentennial Man.
Alexander Payne has downsizing.
Fincher has Alien 3
I don’t even dislike either of the ones you listed.
QT and DV are the only ones without many misses but they have a pretty small catalog.

I mean, I agree to a point, but he is up there with DV, PTA and QT, isn't he?

That comment was mostly there for inflammatory purposes, but yes, you direct long enough and make a ton of movies and you're going to have some duds.
Ridley Scott is the most bonkers one. He has made some truly great, all time classics, as well as some absolute dogshit that makes you think "is this a different Ridley Scott? Are there 2?"

Still haven't seen Interstellar or Tenet

Interstellar is excellent. The ending falls apart a little bit for me, but I get what they were attempting to do (and how) and I appreciate that.
TENET is honestly pretty good. I watched it a year or two ago and remember following along with it fairly well. I think it goes a little too far into ridiculous territory, but I went into it expecting to hate it and I ended up enjoying it fairly well. I was pleasantly surprised.
If you plan on watching them, Interstellar is definitely the better of the two though, and it's not close.

Maybe it’s too early in the morning but who is DV?
Nevermind it’s Denis Villenuve. Dune sucks.

He walks as a living god among us.
Seriously, though, he's made some of the best films of the century, but he does go up his own a-hole every now and then with Tenet, Oppenheimer, etc. Both were not bad, but I don't have a desire to see them again. The pure, undiluted Nolanness is just too much for me.

If we exclude scorcese and Spielberg because they're both clearly in the twilight of their careers, Nolan is easily the best active filmmaker.
