You really cant argue with this when you think about it. Steve Carell is a comedic genius and plays the part well. I do think that, what makes a show great, is strong role characters. What makes Michael who he is, is the supporting cast that he has. It's funny how complex Dwight's character is. He is a paper salesman who has a beet farm, always has his guard up. Is a "manly man", but is sort of a sci-fi geek. But is Michael's bitch. He will do whatever Michael tells him, but at the same time, when it comes down to his best interest, he will sell Michael out. He is also gullible when it comes to certain things.. Which allows jim to frick with him easy.

It's obvious I need to do a better job getting my point across, but what I post is a "rough draft". I am just throwing out thoughts, but my point of what I said was.. I do think that it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be when Michael Scott left, however; I didn't like where they eventually went with it.. I thought Robert California was a horrible character.
I watched the last two seasons in bits and pieces so I don't remember exactly how everything transitioned when Michael left, but I thought when they were looking for a new manager was pretty good. But once Robert came into the picture, that's when things went south.

Michael Scott is obviously the best character on the show. We can all agree it went downhill after he left. Dwight, Andy and Jim after him.
