Billy Idol is one of a few that when I hear on the radio, I will immediately change the station.

Can someone help me out. I’m shocked at some of the people that are nominated and eventually get in.
The Black Crowes? Is that a joke?
How are these bands, always nominated and bands like rage against the machine are in the Hall of Fame, but bands like Korn, Tool, Linken Park, Weezer, etc have never even been nominated?
Those bands were massive and are still selling out arenas.

The fact that Iron Maiden & Motörhead were not in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 20 years ago & still are not is down right criminal.
Iron Maiden? Sure.
Motorhead? GTFOH. They're a T-shirt/logo band with maybe three good songs and one of the most overrated frontmen in rock history.

It's the hall of very good.... too watered down

Bad Co., Black Crowes, and Soundgarden are no brainers, everything else is meh or worse.

Fame has to count for something. I could poll 100 random younger boomers and Gen X folks and 80 of them won't be able to name a single Joy Division song or album.

The HoF is so watered down now. Chubby freaking Checker?? He had 1 song
Black Crowes are fine but never did you think they are HoF worthy.

The White Stripes? I like them, a lot, but they are nowhere near worthy of the HOF
Crazy that I sort of agree with you given how I fanned out over Jack White when I was younger. Don’t get me wrong, he put out some monsters with Meg. But the falloff was incredible
Add to that, christ what a douche this guy comes across as. Not that most musicians set a very high bar or anything but he seems insufferable

He's also a poor guitar player.

Joy Division/New Order are the most deserving on the list. No one else on that list is in their league for quality/contributions/longevity.

Black Crowes are the most rock and roll of anyone on that list.
