Pink Floyd-Yes if you are talking Barret to Waters
Realistically, it went from Barrett to Gilmour/Waters - a relatively even split until The Final Cut.
David Gilmour is, by no means, an elite level rock singer, but very good and better in every appreciable way as a vocalist than Waters or, honestly, Barrett.

Pink Floyd and Iron Maiden got better with different singers.

REO
Overall, I agree. Cronin was a vocal upgrade. However, Ridin' the Storm Out REO was better than Heard It From a Friend REO by far. Maybe devolving into power ballads was just an 80s thing.

Chicago
Personal opinion, but after Terry Kath’s death, Chicago became too love song heavy and it ruined their vibe. When Peter took over and stopped performing with the brass band, it became unlistenable. IMHO

Didn't STYX change singers?

I agree. I was talking about the post Waters Floyd, which I do not care for. Not so much for the vocals but the writing.
