Almost posted this, but wasn't sure about the minor part. Great song.

Great song.

Yeah. I lost my dad way too many years ago at way too young an age for both of us, but having a toddler who is just starting daycare and a mom with Parkinson's-related dementia, that song hits so much different now.

Mine died within a couple months of holding my son as an infant. That kid turns 17 tomorrow.

Same, whenever someone I'm close to loses their dad, I will send them "The Walk" a few weeks later.

That guy - Sammy Kershaw really thought he was a badass. I remember watching him in an interview and thinking to myself "what a dousch nozzle".

Chesnutt really writes some great songs.

I'll Think of Something has a pretty good guitar solo at the end .

Leroy Parnell

I was just listening to some of his stuff a couple of days ago. There for a few years in the early 90s everywhere you turned there was ol' Leroy.

Singles all over the charts
Playing slide guitar on Trisha Yearwood and Mary Chapin Carpenter albums
Writing songs being released by Kenny Chesney
Putting in an appearance on the Harrard tribute album with Steve Wariner and Diamond Rio

David Kersh-Goodnight Sweetheart

David Kersh - Another You Written by Brad Paisley

Lee Roy Parnell - When a Woman Loves a Man

Suzy Boguss - Letting Go As a girl dad this one gets in my feels.

Doug Supernaw- Reno

Anything by Collin Raye & Wade Hayes.

Shut Up and Drive - Chely Wright

I had a huuuuuugeeee crush on Chely back in the Mid-late 90's when I was a teenager. She was stupid gorgeous (those eyes!) w/a voice that was sexy AF and losing her to the other team still hurts. I fapped to her quite a bit back then. She was on par w/Shania looks wise IMO. She's still beautiful now at 52. I've always adored her.
