There was a quote yesterday about how Jeannie Buss is pissed about paying the tax for this team. I think it's most likely that nothing significant happens this offseason, Griff tied their hands pretty well, but I wouldn't be shocked at anything including blowing it up.
Supposedly the Wall/Westbrook deal is sitting there if the Lakers want it. They just have to include a future 1st. It would be a slight upgrade.
BR had a bunch of trade ideas for Davis. Atlanta is said to be very interested, and they floated a package built around Huerter, Collins and a future 1st. Davis is getting put through the ringer and might be ok with bailing now, since he is on the outs with James. Atlanta has to make a splash this summer and the GM is desperate for a bigger name to put next to Young. Davis fits.
If Lakers keep James (50/50), they could still make a desperate last move to stay competitive. It looks like they are going to be aggressive...

Assuming that Atlanta package for AD is accurate. That’s a pretty large chasm in value compared to what we got for him lol.

Lakers will “definitely have interest” if Doc Rivers is fired. Please hire Doc Rivers.

I’d hate to see LA trade Mr. Glass before we reap the benefits of that trade.

So in the end, the Lakers will have traded:
Ingram, Ball, Hart, three 1sts and two pick swaps for Collins, Heurter and a future 1st?

I saw that Phil Jackson is advising the lake show to trade lebron and keep Russ. That is according to platshcke (sp?). That would be hilarious. Although it would be a good way to take the power back from lebron and clutch and return it to the organization.

It is the smart way to go. James has the most value and would reap a solid return. They can flip Davis as well. Westbrook is a huge expiring, so they can ride it out with him for one year.
They could get some young pieces to build around, get under the tax line and reset this summer if they want. The Buss family is not super rich and finances play a role. If they keep it all together and give it another go, I believe that's an additional 80-100M. Is it worth it? Especially if there is a good chance they don't make the playoffs..

I would pay to see this.
Phil isn’t afraid to frick with the talent, as the whole KP thing with the Knicks shows.
And if anyone deserves that treatment, it is LeBron and Klutch.

My buddy texted me and said they had a bunch of guys who are worked up.
I haven’t clicked on
Nothing. I’m off today don’t really have Interest in going back n forth all morning. I did see that CP had another stinkier. The last 4 games CP had in this big D series are all worse than any for bgj. He also had the 4 pt game v the pels. That makes 5.

He had to use everything he had in the tank to beat the pesky Pels.

Yep and now Dallas is using Frank the similar way. You love to see it.

Good to see Frank be good at something.
I don’t know what it is about the 7th-8th overall pick but I seem to remember some stinkers picked there.

Sounds better when you say Allstar Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart, Lonzo Ball, #4 pick, #8 pick(possibly top 4), another likely lottery 1st, and 2 swaps which at this point are probably going to get used b/c we are going to be better than them.

What teams would actually be interested in Lebron? Who would he fit with?
Posted on 5/13/22 at 12:28 pm to ghost2most
the Knicks would give up everything to be relevant
