After your consistency, it would be an insult to call you that to those who are. They have the capacity to learn from their mistakes, unlike some.

For real though, that’s how we get to greater knowledge, by airing out opinions and seeing if they can survive open scrutiny. As long as we’re cordial in our discussions and disagreements we can’t be afraid to call out bad opinions.
It’s good to practice because this board is going to get flooded soon with new posters once the Pels start having more success. The more informed and established guys have to learn how to educate without running every new poster off so we can raise the collective knowledge of this small, but growing fiefdom. It’s why TigerinATL is the best poster on this board.
Plus it’s brmark has admitted in the past that he knows most of his takes are pretty dumb. He’s actually pretty self aware which I appreciate and respect, so he can take it. That’s more than I can say for a lot of people on this site.

I don’t get that from him at all.
He writes as if he’s educated on the matter, i.e. “I know value and how championships are built, and empty stats when I see it.”, reads to me like he’s arguing from a position of authority.
I’d bet he’s more likely a troll than autistic. But I think he’s neither, I think he actually believes his takes.
Most people in football country don’t know how to watch basketball or what they are watching. That’s where the idea of “it’s all 1 on 1” in the nba comes from, typically from college basketball fans. The guy who prefers college basketball, Big Rational Mark, doesn’t like it when his authority is challenged.
The guy condescendingly took a position against Ingram, and therefore the Pels, with great arrogance.
In short, he deserves shite when he post shite.
ETA: There are times when I have upvoted his post, like taking Ivey with the pick.

Interesting thought on how Lakers rebuild if they intend on keeping lebron and if he wants to stay.
Zach Lavine is the domino that can get things to fall. Sign and trade ad and 2027 pick 5-15 for Lavine and Patrick Williams.
Westbrook and 2027 pick 16-30 for hield and brogdon.
Completely rebuilding that team

it’s pretty obvious they HAVE to do something relatively drastic but not so obvious as to how to do it without admitting defeat. That runs counter to their exceptionalism myth.
the last time the lakers traded away a superstar it was a choice between Shaq and Kobe. Are they really going to value one of Davis or lebonk like they did Kobe? Because they are not getting a star back in exchange for either one right now. If they could manage to get Lavine that would be a best case scenario but they’d be giving up the clearly better player in his prime

Splitting protections won’t pay off as well for them as it did for us on several levels.
One, they are conveying a pick for 27, which is five drafts in the future as of today. That is pretty fricking far in the future for a protected pick, especially since they can’t push conveying past 2029.
We pulled what we did because the pick was for the upcoming draft and if it didn’t convey, the Hornets would have gotten two seconds while the Blazers would get the future Milwaukee first which is potentially valuable should Giannis leave.

That’s a terrible trade for the Pacers.

No. I'm not. That quote is lazily placed out of context. There are lots of players that put up massive empty stats. That's all I was pointing out in that case.
I have not attacked or disparaged Ingram at all. I said that he and Randle are of similar value. I have maintained that since Randle left. He was top 5 in the MVP last year. So, I hardly think that it is an insult to compare the two. Randle is my favorite player in the league. I think it is a sign that I have shifted my opinion of Ingram and have come to appreciate him a bit more.
You will never let that go though and allow me to progress more to the middle.

I appreciate college sports and want them to succeed. I believe there is a great value in athletes going to and being developed on that level. I believe it is very harmful to many when they skip that step and try to develop on the pro level when they are not ready.
You do not like college basketball and want everyone in farm systems in obscurity where we will never hear from them. That's fine. But it is a weird take on a site dedicated to a college. I disagree and will fight on that point.

I am not an expert or an analyst. I have an opinion that I express pretty rarely. I average 2-3 posts a day at the most. So it's hard to believe that my views are making any kind of dent in anything.
I said and will keep saying Ingram is not a star player. I believe there are only 4-5 of those in the league. He is not a #1. Nobody on here believes that he is. He is our #2 and should be a pretty strong one. I wish he was a better defender and stepped up in bigger moments. But I didn't run him down or go after when he had his down games.

I don't care if you attack me or give me shite for whatever reasons. You are chanting crap like a child and putting stuff on here that is going to raise flags. I don't want to be associated with any of that. You are quoting me and bringing me into it for some reason. I guess you think it's clever. But I just think you are being a coward, cause you know you can get away with it and I have no recourse. You'll just stir stuff up and try to pull me down with you when you get banned again. I just won't have the 3-4 alters to go to as a back-up, like you..

I firmly believe they won’t trade Bron or AD. The problem with trading LeBron or even AD is it tarnishes the idea that the Lakers are this big FA destination for superstars. They lose all credibility to act like they’ll take care of you and have your back if they ship those guys out. They’re slowly being figured out as being the shite-run franchise that they’ve been for over a decade now. If they lose the “superstar FA destination” tag they now lose their ability to coverup their shitty FO decisions and have to operate like us “small market” teams. They essentially become the Knicks. The Lakers are in between a rock and a hard place and it’s awesome.
They played with that Klutch fire and are slowly being burned, and it couldn’t have happened to a better franchise. Why? Well because frick the Lakers, that’s why.

Yes they won a ring and that sucks. But they lost the trade very badly. They traded away multiple rings or at least multiple very good shots for 1 Mickey Mouse ring. They would still have young talent and picks they could trade to have a LeBron BI (insert superstar you trade for) and a good bench. Lightening ain’t striking twice lakers

How are they similar in value? If both teams made them available right now, one player would take in a treasure trove of assets (multiple firsts and/or young players) while the other team would have to attach assets to get off the contract they just signed him to? Makes no sense.
And if his contract was up this year instead of last, it’s very likely the Knicks would be the third team that made no effort to resign him.

“Randle isn’t a star, he’s similar to Ingram”
*gets called out for being a dumbass*
“Randle is one of my favorite players that’s how much I like Ingram!”
But context
